QSMOTOR,0.5-12kW Electric Hub Motor & Mid Drive Motor Manufacture China

Hi Vito (and lurkers),

I have a Mini-E and a QS205.

The pinout of the QS hall connectors appears to be (looking at the pins of the motor side) ((+,T,-),(H1,H2,H3)).

There are two redundant sets of sensors and connectors, and one supplied female connector. It had some goop installed over the end that the wires come out, and I expected to find the female pins inside, ready to be terminated to my Adaptto cable, but there was nothing. Are we meant to get these pins with the motor, or are they a commodity item? (are they still hiding somewhere in the shipping box???)

Thanks Vito and QS for a great motor. Anyone else questioning whether or not to get this motor - you shouldn't. If you want the best most powerful hub for a bike out there - look no further. This motor is an absolute beast. Full throttle time after time from a dead stop to 40mph+ pulling 14kw peaks and cursing around at 35-40mph for 5-10 miles is no problem for this motor. I've even ridden with a passenger (total weight with bike and passengers around 400lbs) for 10-15 miles at a time without any heat issues (and still riding fast and having fun 10+kw under acceleration and 2-2.5kw continuous at about 35mph).

Janserv, how was the wheelset packed? Did it arrive in good condition? How was the trueness of the rims?

The wheelset was very well packaged in molded styrofoam no movement. Wheels were very true spokes all look good tight and well laced no weird angles. Rear with motor spokes loosened up a bit after hard riding and some racing for about 200 miles total. Rim still very true easy to tighten spokes and keep well balanced took me 5 minutes to tighten.

Thanks Janserv. Good to have independent confirmation of a high quality product. I have personally bought wheelsets in past that have arrived in very poor condition from other vendors. Once again, thanks for the review

Received my wheel set and motor today, impressed with fit and finish and packaging. Likewise I have received some very seedy looking packages, my cromotor appeared to have been dropped to its destination from orbit. QS packaging was great and no discernible damage.

Initial quick glance the true job looks reasonable, I will have a proper go at it with a run-out gauge at home and get it really dialed in but it's not bad at all. Looking forward to getting the tires mounted up and rolling on them, hopefully by tomorrow! Great job

Hi Vito,

I've decided I want to buy a 205 V3. Is it possible to connect one to a Crystalyte controller?
