Hi Jenso,
awesome. I am also a kitesurfer ! can't wait to see your street carver rolling ... how does this board fill compared to a longboard ?

Re: Trampa Street Carver Ultimate
it looks incredibly sexy! are you doing the "electrification" yourself or did you find the pictures somewhere? im thinking about building my own electric skateboard from scratch (inspired by all the excellent threads in here), and the board & the motorplate looks just gorgeous! could also imagine the trampa mountain boards with bindings as a more reasonable version of the slightly extreme baja board.

Re: Trampa Street Carver Ultimate
Not so many Hills in this Area, but i like it just the way it is, will like it more if electrified (-;sk8norcal wrote:how do u like it just hill carving?
nowind, noproblem nomore (-; its really flexy (its the 14Ply Deck) and the Turning Circle is really small ! Works very good.okp wrote: awesome. I am also a kitesurfer ! can't wait to see your street carver rolling ... how does this board fill compared to a longboard ?
Yeah its sexy, thats my 2Cent ! Yes i´m doing the electrfication by myself, the Mounts are milled this afternoon waiting for the Drivetrain Components now! Trampa Boards are BadAss, have a look @ my E-MTB Build Thread : http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewto ... 35&t=64630 I have to update the Thread but just for information.whitepony wrote:it looks incredibly sexy! are you doing the "electrification" yourself or did you find the pictures somewhere? im thinking about building my own electric skateboard from scratch (inspired by all the excellent threads in here), and the board & the motorplate looks just gorgeous! could also imagine the trampa mountain boards with bindings as a more reasonable version of the slightly extreme baja board.

Re: Trampa Street Carver Ultimate
awesome - what a fast build ! electric carving, pure fun. could you post a photo of your setup below the deck ?
Re: Trampa Street Carver Ultimate
The non electric version seems like a hard twitchy push. But, apply some moderate power and it becomes a super fun carver. The turning radius for a typical longboard length wheelbase is just insane.

Thanks !
Thanks !
Re: Trampa Street Carver Ultimate
Hey.
I changed the motors to the SK3-6364-213kv for dual diagonal drive.
Sorry the thread is not actualy....

Re: Trampa Street Carver Ultimate
hm, Im actually interested in the 168kV motor as well, since I ordered it for my tesseract. need more torque and less topspeed. how did you like the 168kV and why did you change it?

Dual drive I made this week , lot of power! I really love this board
do you think that diagonal drive is better?

Re: Trampa Street Carver Ultimate
Seems a really fun board to ride.
What kind of housing are you going to use for the electronics?

Re: Trampa Street Carver Ultimate
I changed to the 6364-213 because i wanted more topspeed, was not willed to change the gearing (-;
The other reason was that you get both of them on one Axle for DualRearDrive, not possible with the longer 6374.... But i never changed from Diagonal Drive (-;
Spend so much time with the MTB´s, not really moved on with the carver.
Here in my area there are not so much places to ride on nice concrete....
But it is a blast to ride, the 6S Setup with the Hobbywings performs really good in Dualmode.

Super nice! Show us some more of this enclosure You made! How does it handle board flex?
Re: Trampa Street Carver Ultimate
Hi Nowind, I would also like more info, very nice !!
Which board is it and the dimentions , are these board pretty stable at higher speeds?

Re: Trampa Street Carver Ultimate
Its made from something which called "Hobby-Foam", 3mm thick soft plastic.Squad wrote:Super nice! Show us some more of this enclosure You made! How does it handle board flex?
Easy to cut with a knive, good to bent with some heat, good to glue wit hotglue.
But its not really protective more to hide all the mess (-;
Its just fixed with two velcros, the flex isnt an issue.
Its this one:randyc1 wrote:Hi Nowind, I would also like more info, very nice !!

http://www.trampaboards.com/ultimate-st ... 12112.html
in 14Ply thickness
With this gearing its good for about 40kmh, its pretty stable.
You can add "Dampas" inside of the springs to get it even more stable if needet!
But at this speed i dont need it.
I love it this way, the turning circle is really thight.

Re: Trampa Street Carver Ultimate
Guy, nowind, and others, any comments on how this board rides? It sure looks cool, but I'm interested in hopes that it rides smoother over rough surfaces than a stiff longboard.
Re: Trampa Street Carver Ultimate
Hey.
The carver runs really nice. The turning cirle is amazing.
But dont think that it runs better over rough surfaces as an Longboard because they have the same wheels.
Maybe if you used a really stiff deck before its more comfortable due to its flex( depending on choosed PLY thickness).
Hope that helps.

Re: Trampa Street Carver Ultimate
Hi DIY builders,
everyone wants to know how our street carver rides. Its really fun, precise steering, incredible turns, quite stable at speed, and yes: It has flex, depending on the ply rating and your weight. Flexy decks do swallow some vibrations - it helps but does not eliminate 100% of them feet ticklers. Soft wheels do help a lot. Thats why we offer our wheels in different hardnesses. The combinatiom of a flexy deck and soft wheels makes all the difference. No more numb feet... Whenever I step onto a regular still Longboard I think to myself: What a plank.

Re: Trampa Street Carver Ultimate
hey frank, gotta say i love your longboard wheel lineup. 83 & 90mm 74A and harder? perfekt!!
is the inner core compatible with abecs or will you guys offer pulleys for that as accessoires? im VERY interested in wheel + pulley combos!!
nvm, the site was a little weird with my phone, you actually hot it all, very nice!!

Re: Trampa Street Carver Ultimate
The 90mm are not yet in Stock, but will hopefully arrive soon.
Wheels are comparable, but the spokes are a bit thicker.
Pulleys are available in 33 and 37 teeth. Mounts for all our boards and Caliber II trucks are available.
