Finally coming to US, with new higher energy density Samsung cells.

Love that it's electric. If you make an EV drivetrain that needs that much heat sinking you failed badly at efficiency.
I get that it's just a dummy prop for an art video not a real bike design though.

New version, long range:

From http://pushevs.com/2016/09/12/bmw-c-evolution-gets-a-long-range-version/

BMW’s electric scooter gets a long range version by using the new Samsung SDI 94 Ah cells, that replace the old 60 Ah cells.
This battery upgrade isn’t a surprise since BMW recently did the same upgrade with its electric car, the i3.

Currently the electric scooter BMW C Evolution battery is made with 36 Samsung SDI 60 Ah cells, making it 8,1 kWh (36 x 60 Ah x 3,75 V). The upgrade to 94 Ah cells will make the scooter’s battery capacity improve to 12,69 kWh. Regarding range, it means that the old 100 km range is now increased to 160 km.

Long Range version: 19 kW (26 hp) continuous output and 35 kW (48 hp) peak output. Top speed 129 km/h, range approx. 160 km.

Hehe... Folks like BMW still thinking "motorcycle". As much faster than most urban speed limits these daze plus "crazy" ranges on just one charge. Aerodynamics of riders body lousy too (at "higher" speeds). Maybe they figure "that's watt the customer wants"? BUT for shorter distances at slower speeds... too/way "over the top" in battery-electric traction terms.

Betcha these bikes are "BMW prices" to buy and maintain too. ;)
