Now this is how you lock up your precious bicycle

I'm sure it works great...one allen key (maybe two if the cap and stem bolts use different sizes) and off comes the handcuff as you slide the stem out. :/

There's been people out there dumb enough to steal a police *car*, so I'm sure there's even more that would do it with a bike.

It was donut break time for Sunderland and Sinclair, meanwhile the crack heads were salivating over 2 for 1 five finger discount on 8th Avenue. Actually there were 2 sets, one set on the inside of the mall entrance and the other hidden away on the outside of the door 9' away. A pickup truck and 4 fat bikes gone! Oh and countless camera's. Revised statement....A stolen pickup truck, shades and a hat.... 4 fat bikes gone!

Most handcuff keys are universal... I know however, Masterlock does make a set of bike locks in the shape of cuffs that I wanted.

For an off the cuff statement, I'd say this method of locking the bike is not too secure.

I can suggest a better way to use handcuffs as a deterrent for bike thieves

Tie the handcuffs to a rope
Tie the other end of the rope to your seat post
Buy a pork leg
Insert it in a sock
Attach firmly one end into an old shoe
Stick the other end in a blender for a few seconds
Clip the handcuff to the pork leg near the shoe with a teared piece of jeans
Let it hang on the ground by your bike when it is parked
