The thing that's holding me back from making an electric one is the gearbox. Even the one that pacificmeister used doesn't look like it was made to handle the power of that motor. I don't think it will last long. I was thinking maybe go direct drive with a small impeller and jet pump, but I think at 20,000rpm or so there would be really bad cavitation.
