For those under 40 or those who forgot.
Bon Scott, for a little while at least, the voice of rock n roll.

Living easy, living free
Season ticket on a one-way ride
Asking nothing, leave me be
Taking everything in my stride
Don't need reason, don't need rhyme
Ain't nothing I would rather do
Going down, party time
My friends are gonna be there too

I'm on the highway to hell
On the highway to hell
Highway to hell
I'm on the highway to hell

No stop signs, speed limit
Nobody's gonna slow me down
Like a wheel, gonna spin it
Nobody's gonna mess me around
Hey Satan, paid my dues
Playing in a rocking band
Hey mama, look at me
I'm on my way to the promised land, whoo!

I'm on the highway to hell
Highway to hell
I'm on the highway to hell
Highway to hell

Don't stop me

I'm on the highway to hell
On the highway to hell
I'm on the highway to hell
On the highway
Yeah, highway to hell
I'm on the highway to hell
Highway to hell
Highway to hell

And I'm going down
All the way
Whoa!
I'm on the highway to hell

Just because it rocks!

In the beginning
Back in nineteen fifty-five
Man didn't know about a rock 'n' roll show
And all that jive
The white man had the smoltz
The black man had the blues
No one knew what they was gonna do
But Tchaikovsky had the news
He said

Let there be sound
There was sound
Let there be light
There was light
Let there be drums
There was drums
Let there be guitar
There was guitar
Oh, Let there be rock

And it came to pass
That rock 'n' roll was born
All across the land every rockin' band
Was blowing up a storm
And the guitar man got famous
The businessman got rich
And in every bar there was a super star
With a seven year itch
There were fifteen million fingers
Learning how to play
And you could hear the fingers picking
And this is what they had to say
Let there be light
Sound
Drums
Guitar
Let there be rock

One night in a club called "The Shaking Hand"
There was a ninety-two decibel rocking band
And the music was good and the music was loud
And the singer turned and he said to the crowd -
Let there be rock

Rockin a blues standard

Baby please don't go
Baby please don't go
Baby please don't go down to New Orleans
You know I love you so
Baby please don't go

When the man done gone
When the man done gone
When the man done gone down to the county farm
He got the shackles on
Baby please don't go
Don't leave me

I'll be a dog
I'll be a dog woah
I'll be a dog kiss your way down there
When you walk along
Baby please don't go

Baby please don't go
Baby please don't go
Baby please don't go down to New Orleans
You know I love you so
Baby please don't go

No baby please don't leave me
Why must you go away and do this to me baby
I want to suffer for you, suffer, suffer
Oh baby please don't go
No!

Baby, baby, baby, please don't go, please don't go
Don't go and leave me, please don't go
Baby, humm
Baby, ahah
Oh don't go, no don't go
Oh don't go, no don't go
Ah don't go, don't go so slow
Oh don't go, no don't go

Why must you leave me lying on my back
Going across left side of the track
Found yourself a new man I know
So baby please don't go
Baby please don't go

No no no no
Oh please, please don't leave me
I don't want to be left alone baby
Ah don't go, don't go, don't go
No!

So with Kid Rock talking about running for Senate, someone tweeted "Sheryl Crow must be rolling over in her grave." Crow was on her way to the recording studio when she got news of her death. So she spontaneously wrote and recorded a song. 'Dude, I'm still alive.'

Oh god. I'd guess he thinls hes conservative now that he's 'rich', but what about all those lyrics he wrote lol?

. . . . .

I only heard he died on here from marx I think, long after the fact. Rip/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfF4t9-wpCM

A lot of these musicians burn 'bright' but I think they have a full life regardless of time of death. There's no reason you can't be awesome though and live to 110- I think a lot of them that go young haven't balanced against the 'everyman' society that's been built. Fame and fortune are always more responsibility I ges. Shadow of the sun.

As for "Considered Conservative" Ted Nugent was a drug using hippie for awhile there, watching his bandmates and other friends dying from overdoses and drug deals gone bad brought about a change in his perceptions. Then there's Ronald Reagan, the onetime communist sympathizer.

According to the articles below he was at minimum upper-middle class growing up and is conservative regarding fiscal and military but libertarian on social matters like abortion and gay marriage.

I'll bet the screaming women in the video don't care about his lyrics :)

Kid Rock's Politics: Everything You Need to Know

Senator Kid Rock. Don’t Laugh.
Consensus formed at warp speed that Kid Rock’s possible U.S. Senate bid shouldn’t be taken seriously. That’s a huge mistake.

I'm almost sure I posted this somewhere, but had to listen to it again and literally right now is the first I watched the music vid which is okay. The rest of their songs sucked tho imo.

But this one I heard one morning driving thru tennessee and thought is was brand new or super obscure.
'if I die young'

We all do that if we do it right. Right? We all die young, since 'young' is a subjective and technically could just be your state of mind.

i refuse to know that this is 7 years old

Shrek, is that YOU?

Lord only knows if this is for real. I have my doubts. But how funny. I'll never get over Howie Mandel telling Lindsey Stirling she's ". . . .Not that good." Yes they DO screw it up.

Stairway to heaven.

But what about 'In the Light"? I like it even better than 'Kashmir'. The whole first half of the album actually. With headphones  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNo1nS_JV5k

And for now for something completely different: Russian, Austrian and Schottish music :D

This one should be every ebikers anthem (the bit where it goes 'ENERGIAAAAAA'):

Some Schottish beer music:

 Some ebikers would say We Don't Need No Stinkin' Parking Lots (MY high-speed lawn chair sits on the grass at home...)

'mount normal' by blues traveler

I have liked this one for a while.

But what is 'normalcy'?

He's talking about Humanity and it's quest for Perfection- which must be the source of it's creation imo. Perfect something. No end no beginning. Infinity.

Oh god, now 'it's' playing 'see emily play' by the Floyd.
I want to (see her play), and I guess I did a little but the ONLY emily I knew actually died in her twenties. I liked her when we were in our teens. I will remember that till I do too.

The Native Channel APTN had a great episode on last night or the night before about Native Peoples bands and band members.

Charley Patton
Randy Castillo drums for Ozzy

And countless others, was like a 1.5-2hr show. I PVR'd it and will get the correct title for you guys.

Besides starting to learn about Fleetwood Mac's incredible PAST and PRESENT, and revisting their MANY awesome songs ! . ! . ! . ! . !

I been getting into this 'Halesy' chic.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FR9G7ioLLmc
The vid is detractive imo, as are most when you see them after getting into the song. . .
