Charger current dropped to half. What is going on?

Hi

I have a home built battery, a Chinese 14S BMS and a Chinese 58.8V/7.5A charger. I recently had to resolder the charger connector wires because one of them detached. And then another.

Now I noticed that the charging seems to take unusually long time and checked (from BMS through Bluetooth) that the charging current is exactly 3.5A. I don't know if this is related to resoldering and I have no good idea what might be going on. Is the charger going bad?

Okay, I got a hint that the reason could be a bad transistor. I checked the charger output and saw 61 Vdc / 131 Vac. Need to investigate further...

This thread has plenty of information on chargers.

If you're getting AC (especially high voltage) on the output of the charger, there's something seriously wrong with it, and I would not connect it to any battery you want to keep.
