In part:
Bough Bikes is a world leader in the field of handmade all-wood bicycles, having produced over 300 pedal-powered two-wheelers from sustainably harvested French Oak. Now the Dutch manufacturer is, ahem, branching out into electrobikes, showing off two prototype electric wooden bikes at this year's NYCxDesign. - See more at: http://inventorspot.com/articles/worlds-first-electric-wooden-bike-leads-charge-sustainable-cycli#sthash.ER588Aat.dpuf

Crossbow by Gnosis PD
by Richard Malachowski

The Crossbow concept is a recumbent trike powered by two front electric motors, front shock absorbers and an Omni wheel as a rear wheel. The Omni allows the driver to steer in close angle and drift along the curves for an extreme fun driving experience.

They're sold from stores for robotics...

Not possible, it's just too hard to remember what's already been up there. I mean obviously we're running out by now. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/404479610266928264/

crap...looks like all the images and videos in there are broken...but the motor was made of routered marine plywood sheets. It was actually originally linked somewhere in this thread, years back.

seem to recall a baterry made with cellulose but a wood eclectic motor might be hard 2find.

They used to put the electrical charge directly to one leg at a time. Worked well no matter how tired you got.

I NEED that! Especially for the 3rd leg. The wannabe wooden one. Do you have a link Dauntless?

O/T(?) a friend in a wheelchair gave me a broken electronic pulse thingy to stimulate his thighs to build muscle mass... we never discussed, but I could only assume why he wanted it. ... I never did fix it, and felt guilty about my laziness/ ineptitude. That was years ago, but just a few days ago his new GF gave birth, so I feel less guilty! Hope I live to help fix his kid's first bikes! .. uh, maybe I could make one of those wooden pedal-less kid scoots (return to Topic?) ...

You might want to start slow on that, maybe the stims device on low. I think by the time it was tough enough to take it you might not have any fun with it any more.

Hehe... How're yer German language skills? News from Austria in 2016... Get yer ass electrified! Well, in polite company we say "donkey"... as in Austrian wooden bike maker My Esel ("My ... Donkey"). Their site:

My donkey: Wooden bicycle soon as an e-bike (Giggle Translate):

Thanks to a hitherto very successful crowdfunding campaign, an electric version of the wooden bicycle from Austria is soon to be developed.
