Sounds like a very common issue

First ride looked good keep the vids coming!
 
After more tune the test ride didnt end up very well, throttle is so laggy amd power comes too late when i wasn't expected, i pulled a ful throttle released back then power built up suddenly made the bike fly away from under my ass at 30mph

Hope your alright..Ive had that happen to a much smaller bike off road, controller power delivery is always a issue with home built Ev's
 
thanks man yeam im okay now my legs a bit crap but getting better, just found out what was the problem so bike rides perfect now, videos coming soon

Great built. Would love build supermoto EV myself, especially on the SXV chassis.

Could you pls confirm, what motor, battery (cells and pack details) and controller have you settled on?

BTW, why did you choose the SXV chassis? ... did you find it better than other donor bikes, or was just the one you have had in your garage?

Hi Peter,
I am building a road bike with the same motor and controller, looking at 27S14P. Would you care to share your Sevcon settings, I have bench tested mine and it feels good but it would be nice to compare?

I can't speak for try_all specifically but I do know that these bikes had an engine flaw right out of the factory that caused coolant to leak into the oil after only a few thousand miles if it wasn't addressed. If you caught it right away the problem could be fixed before the rest of the engine was damaged from lack of lubrication. Some owners didn't get the message soon enough so there were lots of brand new blown up bikes around on the used/salvage market.

This all comes second hand from a buddy of mine that found a pre-exploded one and sent the motor off for repair and some cam work. It was insane when he got it back! Somewhere around 80hp on a dirt bike! Not to far of from what try_all has done here. I bet that thing is a blast. Excellent build!
