Industrial Motor gokart build

Video on post #43 :bigthumb:

Not sure if I am going to be able to solder 2/4awg to my motor so researching other options like adding more 8 awg wires and I came across this calculator. I might try adding two more more 8awg wires and it will be the equivalent of running 3awg.

Putting this here so I can find it again.

Yay! Orders all shipped from HK! Also have my anderson connectors and 4ga wire ready to rock.

Picked up a charger. Should charge a little quicker then Imax b6.

do you have link for these "Using 300amp 1/0GA welding connectors"
I will build 6p usin 8awg wires, so was thinking of crimping one pack positive and another negative together.
because anderson 350 is too bulky, but this looks promising and can keep up my average 200A and peak 650A :)

The welding connectors (DINSE) are good for the price, I use them in conjunction with the panel sockets for my positive and negative ouputs of my battery box.

Made some good progress over the last couple of nights. Finished the battery box and got everything mounted and wired up. Then I ran into the issue that I cant get the damn controller to power on.. Anyone know the secret to these things? The contactor has a +/- on it with the small wires that go to a key switch and to the controller. I assume the pwr cable goes to + and the gnd to the -? But no luck getting the green light..
