Mobility scooter to kids go kart

I just realized that I'm kinda hijacking my own thread  I started this to find out what other people had done with these and now I'm kinda running on about what I'm doing :) While I'm at it I might as well ask this.
Has anyone made a cooling jacket/circulating water bath for one of these before. I'm thinking of sealing the motor can and adding a can around it to pump water throughIMG_2014052025109.jpgIMG_2014052033419.jpg

My definition of sealing the can:) weld it hot enough to fuse the joined side of the motor can together (but not hot enough to burn through and damage the magnet) then grind the weld off flush to the can to make sure the original metal fused together in a water tight seal :D

i think you beat these guys to it.

I Almost Nailed It  but I think I'll stick with the more comfortable seat for now :)

It's only been half a lifetime (for my younger son) since the last time I updated this thread, My three little ones are still driving this contraption to this day so now seems as good of a time as any to do so.I ended up changing over to an alternator converted to a motor to get a little more performance, at this time I'm using an RC transmitter and receiver and ESC to control the motor. The top speed went up to 18km/h but the torque went down a bit.
