There is something not right with that Pacific map and its colour temp zones...
...areas of water at 21C, surrounding large masses of water at 35 C. ?? (North East of indonesia) with nothing inbetween at 22-34C ??
....borders between thermal regions appear very detailed, suggesting multiple fine measurements ? Or just estimated random border definition from few measurements??
An apparent body of water in the Antartic regeon (bottom of map), at 30 C ? :shock:

Rain not heavy enough to cause debris flows in the burn scar areas, but making roads very slippery for Thanksgiving traffic.
 
I got 1.5" since yesterday. Not bad. Another wave comes in tonight. At least it cleared all the smoke out of the air.

Another 1.75" here over the last two days. I can finally turn my irrigation system off for the winter. Up where the fire was, it looks like they got around the same amount. That should really help put it out.

The amount I got from the first wave yesterday was way below the prediction. The second wave coming tonight was originally forecast to bring 1-2", but now downgraded to about half that. I'll know shortly.
