Since the new front mac motor has a heat bridge from the stator to the outside will it take significally more time to overheat a front mac motor than a rear casette version?

What heat bridge?

What is the heat bridge's thermal resistance numbers? YOu can use that to calculate how much heat will move out how quickly, which will then let you compare to a motor without that heatbridge (assuming all else is equal).

Yeah what heat bridge? i've never heard of such a thing.

You see the heat bridge in the link below.it goes from stator and through the side cover to the outside of the motor.

Assuming the part you're talking about is the bit with five bolt holes in it, I suppose if you bolt a big finned plate to that, it might help transfer heat out of the motor, depending on how it's connected to stuff inside (can't really see that part clearly).
