Hi,
sorry if this is a wrong category, this forum is so complex and full of information, it will take me some time to get used to it

I am searching for reasonably priced battery pack for my (in construction) e-bike.
Local e-bike sellers in my country unfortunately resells no-name packs with theirs sticker on it at 300% price. Or they are enthusiast carefully matching cells and welding them manually - the price is too high for me.

Am I missing something? Is there something in between? Something between Ebay/Ali lowcost and expensive hand made packs?

Is there any reputable EU based battery packs manufacturer with decent prices?

I'm jealous of the situation in the US - there seems to be a true competitive market.

My goal is a bike with motor assist - not an e-scooter. So I think 36V/15Ah or 48V/10Ah will be sufficient. 500W peak power which is 14A at 36V.

Thanks, I know about PSWPower. But with these Chinese companies you never know if it is LG cell or "LG" cell. Also there is no info about BMS... as a RC plane builder I have a lot of respect to lithium cells. I would not feel safe with such a big Chinese battery in my house.

Unit Pack Power is decent on aliexpress/alibaba
EM3EV is great too

ru.nkon.nl for home made packs, where you buy/make a welder, or you buy one of those kits where no physical connection is permanent.

Is enerpower (enerpower.de) high priced or reasonable priced?

They are often recommended in German forums.

Those look very reasonably priced. Made in and shipped from Germany. So if you have a problem with it you can easily have them repair or replace it under warranty. Haven't seen them here on E-S so no idea about the quality. But if the German forums are positive then that is a good sign.

Wow! Fantastic alternative to PSW this "ENER-power"!

I see this product:
ENERpower eBike Battery 48V (13S) 10.2Ah Frog (Samsung)
https://enerprof.de/shop/batteries/ebike-and-pedelec-batteries/enerpower-ebike-battery-48v-13s-10-2ah-frog/
(at 272 euro)

... and I am about to change my mind, which was this:

48v - 10.4 Ah LG Battery from psw-power
http://www.pswpower.com/ven.php?cargo.2017-5f-31t0
(at 247 usd)

I must say that these German people seem more professionals just from looking at their site!
And the product has full specs along.. it is actually a lot lighter.. 2,3 kg!!!

Opinions?...

ENERpower eBike Battery 48V (13S) 10.2Ah Frog

295.00€
272.00€ Inc. 19% Vat.

In the specifications, it is good that they specify
Samsung INR18650-35E –> 30A continuous load

At 490Wh depending on your effort in helping out in pedaling I like to use a 20Wh/km so 25km which is like 16 miles, that is with no pedaling. Then 15wh/km for pedaling 32km which is like 20 miles before you need to charge the battery again. Most of the batteries you get are like 1 or 2 amps, so would take 5 hours for 2A. I personally like to get a charger to charge at 1C and be able to get decent range after 40minutes of charging so I can have a bite to eat while its charging, which I do alot.

But isn't it marvelous?? having 20 miles of range with just a 2 kgr frog battery!!.. What a nice era to live in.. :D

Correct, especially when you can take it anywhere, on the train, on a bus, on a plane.
Try doing that with a motorcycle style scooter/moped. Reminds me of a fella who got pinched and bought himself one, I tried not to laugh while we were speaking but its really not a good idea, only good idea is to buy or make an ebike. Maybe in British Columbia them moped's are more popular, but why that is and they dont decide to buy a bicycle I dunno. Maybe its just the fact they prefer to pay extra money for a license plate, fuel, registration and the kicker, go on a 60kph road. Not to easy on a bicycle, them rats have auto dial now.

Finally decided to move to a little frog case due to problems in space and found this thread.
I am looking for a 48V with the highest capacity I can get and found those 2, assembled with 21700 cells:

With 21700 from Samsung SDI:
https://enerprof.de/shop/batteries/ebike-and-pedelec-batteries/48v-li-ion-batteries/frog-2/enerpower-ebike-battery-48v-13s-8-7ah-frog-copy/

With 21700 from LG:
https://enerprof.de/shop/batteries/ebike-and-pedelec-batteries/48v-li-ion-batteries/frog-2/enerpower-ebike-battery-48v-13s-8-7ah-frog-copy-copy/

Any pros and cons?
