Ken Berry
Berry died in Burbank, California, on December 1, 2018, at the age of 85. Media coverage of his death was almost completely overshadowed by that of George H.W. Bush who had died the day before.

Reggie Young, Studio Guitarist for Elvis Presley, Waylon Jennings, Dead at 82
Stephen L. Betts
Rolling Stone January 18, 2019

Reggie Young, whose guitar playing graced hundreds of rock, pop and country records by everyone from Bob Dylan and Elvis Presley to George Strait and Merle Haggard, died Thursday at his home in Leipers Fork, Tennessee, just outside Nashville. He was 82.

As lead guitarist for the Memphis Boys, the house band at American Studios, Young played on more than 100 of the most recognizable hits of late Sixties and early Seventies, including Presley’s “Suspicious Minds” and “In the Ghetto,” followed by a brief stint in Atlanta before relocating to Music City. The Box Tops’ “The Letter,” Dusty Springfield’s “Son of a Preacher Man” and “Drift Away” by Dobie Gray are just a mere sampling of songs he played on throughout his career. He also lent his skills to albums by Kenny Rogers (The Gambler), Waylon Jennings (Honky Tonk Heroes) and Guy Clark (Old No. 1).

Without Glen Wood, would pit stops still be racing's biggest joke? If you watch the 1969 Indy 500 you see Andy Granatelli interfering with Andrettis pit stop and Clint Brawner is about to deck him. Now they have competitions almost like a dance contest for them.

I wonder if he was clean and sober, 52 is young to die from a massive stroke, plus he was not over weight. Perhaps he was on the Jenny Craig Crack diet, but who knows..... too young Luke, too young.

Perhaps some alien life form got ahold of it and wanted to see how advanced our Human technology has become.

had to google to be sure that i recalled seeing him presenting conner mcdavid the ted lindsay award.
i doubted myself since i didn't see a nonegenarian on stage & didn't realize at the time he already hit 90.
looks can be deceiving but all i can say they didn't have to wheel him out like captain pike & looked better than some 70 y.o.

for such a small guy he's a true iron man (and not in the tony stark sense).
i have to laugh that in todays league he probably wouldn't even let him in, let alone win his own trophy.

In 2000, he was sentenced to 60 days in Orange County Jail for violating his probation by appearing drunk in public three times.

I did not know appearing drunk in public was a criminal offense. They should be locking up stinky, dirty bums if that be the case. Its too bad he was an alcoholic, just hope he died with some time under his belt.

Drunk in public is a catch-all, you do something while drunk In his case it was violations of his probation and the wound up locki g him up to make the point.

And yeah, he was a messed up guy.

hal blaine rip....
