Looks kind of like a pitbike which I like. Huge market of aftermarket parts for those. Would be nice if this bike could be repaired/upgraded with existing off the shelf pitbike parts. Wheels, suspension, brakes etc...

looks like project is "deleted".....
Yes we have cancelled the project, and focusing on another one.
The purpose of the project was to bring an affordable electric pit bike to the mass production, folks didn't support it so we went back to our main business, and still can build an electric pit bike for the regular price $3900

Eastgem Denzel powered motoped??

Do any of the Denzel Rush version pitbike chassis use (the often copied) honda e22 motor mount standard widely used in the pitbike, mini bike, and moped industry???

If you made motor mounts to easily fit your engines to the e22 motor mount standard this could be a good market for your various denzel electric motors to be easily fitted to a wide range of pitbikes, minibikes, and mopeds (such as motoped, honda grom, etc..) Rush v3 is looking pretty sweet, especially with the larger 17" super moto wheels front and rear..

I got issues because I buy way too much ebike shit! I havnt gotten it yet since I just paid today

it seems loud and the motor is only 1000w rated and its looks really wide, almost too wide for a moped too

but we will see, I will likely have to make a frame for it, I don't want another gasser frame

Ever since I saw a commercial for a Zero with a clutch and full 5 speed transmission I always wanted to try one, this unfortunately does not have a clutch and almost seems like a toy, but I will still give it a shot out of curiosity!

Efmx Do you know if this gearbox I bought has the E22 mount? If so do you know which bikes have these frames that are large? Im 6'3"

I see pit bikes with the mount but the biggest available is 17" front 14" rear and they have such a short wheelbase

E22 is the most common motor mount standard for four stroke horizontal pit bike engines, so its likely that denzel just bolted their motor onto an e22 crank case and doesn't actually make the "gear box".. once you receive the denzel gear box motor, compare the motor mount dimensions to an E22 bike such as (motopeds.com/drawings) or honda crf50, etc.. (there are also similar motor mount standards but not the same, 2 stroke mounts, Kawasaki, ktm etc)..

motoped would be one of the largest sized, 24"/26" wheel bikes with e22 mounts (frame kits available from motocruzin).. other teen/ adult sized bikes with e22 mounts include honda trail 70/90, honda grom, sachs madass, sikk trail bike, orion fx, etc.. there are also many kids sized dirt bikes that use e22 but those bikes likely wouldn't fit you well.. I'm interested in the denzel e22 motor for one of my motoped builds since the motor specs match my states moped legal power level of 1200 watts (expecting it to be comparable or an improvement over a 49cc ice but not much more)..

Gearbox on electric drive...foolishness. Get a better motor instead. Even Tesla tried that stupidity very early on before they understood that properly driven electrics don't need variable gearing. It's an unnecessary complication resulting in lower reliability.

The only legitimate case to be made for a gearbox would be a dual use bike that needs to climb slowly up long very steep inclines as well run at high speed on the road, and in that case only a 2 speed gearbox is needed.

you say that but watching the bike powered on 1000w hit 45mph on street and also be able to go up a hill is impressive to me

and doing it with less power, I had to try it

looks like denzel may be using an e22 110cc ice crank case for the transmission "gear box"..

Will be interesting to see how well that thing holds up to electric motor torque. I think step one should be machining an adapter to relocate that motor above the gearbox with a belt or chain connecting the two. That assembly looks super wide.

I might have missed it but which motor is that? Is it one of the standard Denzel Eastgem offerings or something unique to this setup.

the denzel ad says : "Motor: D4500 or analog"
maybe analog means the ice engine head??
electric motor high torque (and size constraints) may be why this combo is rated for 1200w?? bc the 110 crankcase can handle ~8 ice hp.. so maybe they rated conservative and it could handle more power???

don't forget to add 4stroke oil to the crankcase transmission, and pick up a magnetic drain plug bolt for some trans wear detection/prevention.. I also use temperature sensor stickers, crankcase gets toasty, definitely will burn you..

If IRC, couple other builds on here run through the ice transmission, so the concept seems to work..
Although I wouldn't mind if denzel started offering direct drive e22 motor mounts as well;)..

Its def not the d4500 motor looks completely different and its only stamped mx72v1200w

The motor sticks out so far i dont think you could use that heel shifter, that is why they welded this makeshift one together and spray painted it, its a few inches longer that a normal shifter at the spline.

Its also a pretty heavy unit, meaning it needs a solid frame and likely moto wheels and tires. With the weight of this pig and a battery pack you cannot get away with bicycle components.

Id like to make a custom frame for this, ill see if i can make some time for this project and get my pro welder brother ben to help ofc! I have some ideas in my head and a headtube already selected
