Hi All,

I am fairly new to the e-bike world but have a long history with BMW's / wiring / tuning and controllers. I purchased a second hand ebike conversion kit for my second build but I am trying to enable regen braking on this controller.

Specs: Infineon XC846 chip, HY3208 mosfets. Allegedly a 48V at 35 amp controller. Does anyone have more information on this controller? I wasn't able to really find anything useful. I also have a USB-TTl converter but can't seem to find the RX/TX pins on this board for the chip?

It also came with a SW900 display which seems to function properly. I was also wondering what the current limit setting (P15) is? Is it phase or battery?

Thanks!

Kai

Ever try regen on that EBS pad yet? That board is the same that came in my ebikeling controller. I added a wire to that EBS pad last year, but haven't taken the time to try connecting it to ground yet. I need to get on that...

Regen DOES work on this Ebikeling 1500 watt 15 FET controller that I bought in 2018. Pulling the EBS pad low (connecting it to a ground wire) DID enable regenerative braking, and should be done before turning the controller on. Then pull the brake lever, and after a delay regen braking will fade in providing your battery voltage isn't too high (fully charged). I've seen peaks of over 10 amps while monitoring the smart BMS and riding down a hill.
