gas price thread

I’m in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, our prices are $1.58 per Lt.
On the mainland in Vancouver prices set a North American record yesterday, $1.68 per lt
Which works out to.......

$6.35 per gal!!!!!!

Convert that from $Cdn to $Usd and it is just under $5 usd per gal....

Lots of folks are driving across the border to fill up in Washington.

i dont know what you all are complaining about, in europe a gallon is about 7,5 USD... (about $2 per liter)

during the iraq war it tipped over the $10 mark...

Just went over $4.00/gal here.

April 11,2019

New data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) revealed that demand skyrocketed to 9.8 million b/d last week. The estimate is approximately 700,000 b/d more than the previous week and 550,000 b/d more than the first week of April in 2018. Many market analysts expect the estimate to be revised downward when EIA releases final demand figures for April later this year, but the high estimate likely signals that 2019 could bring the highest gasoline demand rates ever recorded by EIA — potentially as early as this summer. High gasoline demand helped to lower total domestic gasoline stocks to 229.1 million bbl – a loss of 7.7 million bbl from the previous week. Shrinking supplies amid high demand will likely contribute to increased pump prices. Since Monday, the national average for unleaded regular gasoline has increased four cents to $2.78.
The nation’s top 10 largest weekly increases are: California (+18 cents), Arizona (+15 cents), Alaska (+14 cents), Oregon (+11 cents), Washington (+11 cents), Montana (+10 cents), Nevada (+9 cents), North Carolina (+9 cents), West Virginia (+9 cents) and Ohio (+9 cents).

The nation’s top 10 least expensive markets are: Mississippi ($2.44), Alabama ($2.44), Arkansas ($2.44), Louisiana ($2.45), South Carolina ($2.47), Missouri ($2.47), Texas ($2.48), Utah ($2.49), Virginia ($2.51) and Oklahoma ($2.51).

Dude... sun's out, weather's good.. your electric bike awaits you.. what are you doing complaining about the price of gas?

The fingers said:
Reporting, not complaining.

Why though? there's websites for tracking this information. And you know you are complaining, you ain't fooling anyone :D

Endless Sphere is here to help liberate us from the negative factors of petroleum usage. It is a place for solutions. You also have a thread where you detail anything negative that has happened to bicyclists. It is also equally counterproductive.

Without knowing more about you, an innocent bystander might think you are trying to discourage people from riding bicycles while complaining about how much it costs to fill up your car.

Just saying.

A couple days ago it was $2.14/gal, gasoline is bought at auction in production blocks. Driving is way down in my region, and new shipments are scheduled to arrive, gotta clear out the last bit in the tanks...

Edit, it's a very dynamic time. On March 19th, it dropped to $1.96
