Different kind of so-called "scooter"! This forum discusses real scooters of the electric-powered variety.

Those *are* electric.

That statement from Lime in response to the 'study' seems very accurate. Especially when they interview random people on the streets and ask them 'what ifs'. Yeah sure a bunch of tourists will happily tell the young college girl interviewing him that he would be willing to walk, but is that really what wold of happened? Probably not.

The biggest problem is the scooters getting destroyed after 2 months when they are supposed to last 2 years. But this is a problem that companies like Lime are going to need to address if they hope to stay in business long term. If they don't solve it.. then they go away. Either way it's a problem that solves itself.

The article is more about Lime’s operating model and whether or not it would be better if their customers took the bus than it is about electric transportation.
