Does anybody from the crowed know how to make the Bafang engine G510.500 throttle work with 3rd party battery. It was mentioned by Vividguy (https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=96461&hilit=M600+bms&start=100) , I tried to contact with him but got no response. I aim at building a bike with this motor and want to know if it is possible. Thanks in advance.

I haven't tested it yet but it looks like the throttle will plug directly into the standard supplied wiring loom.

Hi Artyy,

I understand you want to get your question answered but its against forum rules to post the same cut and paste question across multiple threads. Continue and your posts will get deleted. Just a heads up :)

HI Artyy
Regarding the throttle I may not be of much help as I think these drives now have no com/port for throttle but I am not sure, maybe they do. My motor was one of the first ones in North America, and actually when I received the motor the batteries were still in developement. I do remember trying with no luck to connect a third party throttle direct to the motor/controller and it did not work as the whole com/port thing had to be inline with power coming from battery to the throttle. Not sure if its still like this so I would be interested aslo if things have changed. Good luck with your plans Artyy keep us posted.

Thanks Kepler for pics - very instructive. Actually, I have not received a motor yet. I am in the initial stages but want to make my own battery, so please tell me if the motor will work with third party battery I mean without canbus attached? Perhaps you can test it?
