likely peak rating, not continuous..

Still - I'm pretty sure 20KW is peak on the Storm Bee, no?

If so, from a marketing perspective, it just doesn't make sense to have a lower end model match the brand new higher end model...

maybe storm bee has more than 20kw peak??
how much was the luna mod bee 32kw??
anyways its all just marketing until its tested and ppl actually have them..

Just checked, the Storm Bee has a claimed peak of 22kw:

I'm not aware of luna selling a 32KW version (IIRC that was their insane in-house hot rod). I believe the souped up limited edition was 12KW peak...

maybe a good option for ppl that live nearer to the builder.. also other mod options that can be easily shipped such as the seat risers, etc..

I'm all for after market parts, but that seat riser is crazy overpriced for what it is. Maybe I should cut a few and see if they sell.

sure, and why not start making drop in batteries next.. more competition the better;)..

I don't have any experience building packs - so don't think I am qualified. They are also much more time consuming to produce than loading stock on my machine and hitting the run button. And on top of all that, liability laws in the US are quite insane - so thanks - but I'll pass.

Not sure if it was posted before, there is an official statement on the Sur Ron website about the co-operation with Segway: http://bbs.sur-ron.com/eu/#/t/226

Wonder how this would look on a Sur-Ron :p

They claim it can charge up to 1.5kw/h per day - which is pretty much a full tank on the Light Bee.

Could make cross-country Sur-Ron camping possible?

It is a match made in heaven. Also if you are riding offroad and do a bad jump you have a rollcage.

Hello, I'm new here, and was wondering on advice for some mods for a Light Bee, such as;

Controller: Upgrade to ASI BAC4000 for Regen braking, and display, and more power / acceleration?
Bars: 3" riser bars
Battery: Go with a 60v or 72v? Will the stock charger charge the 72v?

Mostly be using this to commute about 15 miles each way, with occasional long trips (About 70 Miles), hence the extra battery. Want regen braking because lots of hills, and less wear on brake pads, ect. Will be used off road, Dirt bike trails, ect, for commuting. I'm going to get the super moto kit for commuting, and keep the stock wheelset for offroading. I also found this nice decal kit, blue fox one, for 98$ I will also be getting. Any other mods I should do to increase range / power, and Regen braking? Opinions and comments are appreciated. I'm new to E-bikes, and from what I've been reading this one is the best for the price all around, My budget is $3500 without mods, so it's fine that its a bit over, for such a good bike.

Thx

Nuclear? I haven't heard of them, can I get a link? And what do you mean by fully adjustable? Does it have Regen braking?
Will it work with the stock 60v battery? I'm not super into Electronics yet, but I know quite a bit about Gas powered, so I don't know much about this stuff, just from what I've read from this thread

Thx

Nucular.

Russia guy like Adaptto...but with superb quality and power. He can sell also Plug n Play for Surron that you dont have to "know" much about electronic stuff ;)

if you need help, just open a topic or ask in the nucular topic.

Oh man... Didn't saw a Alta sales topic ;(

I sold it to a guy on the Alta Owners Forum. Didn't advertise it in any standard forums. Had I known you were interested, I would have hit you up first.

I just made a mount for the DNM forks to put on a 2014 KTM SX85 fender. Just thought I would show it.front fender.jpg
