Yep, it's painted. It was a highly popular practice back in a days, nowadays it's slightly less popular. Paint is not just a paint, it's a lime paint (or a whitewash). Some said, it's against pest. I saw a version once, it said that during WWII white tree trunks alongside roads helped drivers saw road without using headlamps and avoid air raids!

Also, i've found some info on English Wikipedia.

Can we see some hot Russian women nyet?

Oh, a people in my viewfinder is extremely rare sight. Empty places is my eye magnet. But on pages one and three i'd posted some photos of Wild Students and 3x9 members - no fat or ugly woman amongst them 8)

Don't wait for me to come around about street photo, it's not gonna happen just yet :) You can look to common Russian people "in natural habitat" via Yandex Maps panoramas or Google Street photos. Click to panoramas in any large park in Moscow, you should find plenty of what you interested for: https://yandex.ru/maps/-/CKez5NiJ

Last days of November 2019. I've took a ride to an еmptу fields behind Gromov Flight Research Institute airfield. An incredibly thick fog came that morning and with mildly freezing temperatures created a very slippery layer of ice on the roads:
IMG_7972.jpg

IMG_7969.jpg

IMG_7967.jpg

Unfortunately, i've not been cautious enough and in one of the corners took a fall! Nothing broken, though, i've just dislocated handlebar, got a crack in the rear mirror and pilled off some plastic of handle grip:
IMG_7962.jpg

IMG_7966.jpg

IMG_7973.jpg

After that reminder of slipperiness of ice and painfulness of falling on a tarmac i've took some precautions and continued my way through frozen fog:

Outside layer of mud defrosted... Well, from a conqueror of muddy fields i've quickly became as helpless as cow on ice! It's time to go home, enough of slippery adventures for today:

A sudden thunder above me! I've reach my camera as quickly as i've can, but that gorgeous Su-57 "Felon" was so fast, that a blurry white triangle in a deep blue sky is all i've got:
IMG_8059.jpg

"It is not gonna be any less slippery in a days to come, doesn't it?", i've thought. Time to do something about it. I've chosen a radical solution and bought chunky mud tires for motocross from our local manufacturer in a Saint-Petersburg city. That's a two Petroshinas (Петрошина, Петр (Peter the Great) + шина (a tire)) for me:

hope your well, how is Moscow doing with the corona virus outbreak. have you managed to contain it over there? I read China handed over the genome of the virus to Russia to help develop a vaccine back in January. I know the Russian govt acted quickly to try to protect its citizens, im just curious if the drastic measures taken worked?

Well, you know, as always:

The good thing is, we started to monitor people body temp in airports weeks ago, earlier than many of EU countries. Maybe it's give us some delay, maybe not.

The bad thing is, we only had only one test lab with somewhat unreliable test kit, so it's not like we actually have only 62 infected, it's probably much-much more.

New reliable test kit is on its way, so were see, what next week brings.

No mass closing down for schools yet, but a "free attendance" policy is already on: parents can choose not to let children to go to school with no repercussions. Kids can be at home and would be provided with online education classes.

Panic buying is not here yet, but i've expecting some of that for next week or week after.

My body temp is normal, BTW, no coughts eather :)
