Really Dumb Question

Hello All,
on my DIY project have all components and donor frame assembled.

QS Motor QS273 72v 5kw hub
Sabvoton 72150 controller
20S12P 72V Panasonic 32BD 38.5ah with 100A BMS

Everything connected except the battery to the controller
Do I just connect battery and start programming? Do I need to connect to a computer first?
can anyone provide just the super simple idiot proof step by step so I don't fry anything

Plug it in - what display is it?

You should have a fuse or approximately rated dc breaker between the battery and the controller. Aside from that, light her up. (But keep the rear wheel off of the ground and yourself away from the pedals and other rotating bits until you're sure it's sorted and ready to ride!!)

I use a pre resistor so no big spark and so that the controller caps and help them from overload from the voltage of a full battery. Clean that up.
