LiFePo4 Cells 60Ah New from the Factory in SF Bay Area

Post by MrBeeeeee » Sep 11 2020 8:47pm

Hey guys,

This is in Oakland, CA.

I'm trying to offset the cost of my own EV build by over-buying batteries direct from the factory in Guangdong. I still have about a hundred cells left from this buy. They're all 60Ah. I've been capacity testing some of them with a Turnigy Reaktor charger, by discharging down to 3.0v and recharging them using the internal setting for LiFePo4 cells. So far out of ten, they've all been over 58Ah using this methodology. The charging leads I'm using are simple Amazon jobs and I'm sure that's affecting my accuracy.

I'm asking $60 per cell on Craigslist, but I'll sell to Endless Sphere members at $50 per cell as long as I don't have to ship them.
In any case, here's the Craigslist ad:

Sure, the maker was Shenzhen Xuba. I dealt with Amy. She was very nice.

Did these XUBA 60ah cells test to capacity? Any issues with them ? How tall are they with the studs ?

Every battery I tested was slightly less than the stated capacity. Most were just shy of 59Ah with a few in the 57Ah range. The internal resistivity was very consistent, but I was only measuring with a simple hobby charger.

One guy I did sell to was a material science researcher and he performed some more rigorous tests with proper equipment. He expressed that he was quite pleased with how they performed.

It's been several months since I've sold them and no one has had an experience negative enough to let me know about it, sonI consider that quite good.

I couldn't tell you about the terminal dimensions though as I don't have anymore.
