That should be a powerful and fun adult gokart. I wish I had a place to ride something so low and with no suspension. Do you plan a fairing?

You will have a body I am going to start building. It felt wonderful to drive, I tried to 48v and is 47 km / h 60 km range with a battery of 30 Ah greetings

[quote = "John in CR"] Questo dovrebbe essere un potente e adulti gokart divertimento. Mi piacerebbe avere un posto da guidare qualcosa di così basso e senza sospensione. Non si pianifica un cupolino? [/ Quote]

I like it. Allthough it might look like a go-kart, I think it is in all respects an HPV-tadpole trike. If you break it down to it's essence, it is more of a bicycle than a go-kart, allthough there is no real line separating the two.

This is going towards the direction I plan on taking for the MkII, step away from the tadpole trike 'standard' central tube down the middle in favour of dual main tubes. This allows for lower cg positioning, as well as offering a degree of crashcage. It also has structural benefits once you start taking it beyond a certain point and offers more options for attachment points if a full body fairing would be implemented.

The box down the middle contains electronics, batteries etc? And how is the ergonomics of the steering set-up? It looks like your arms could interfere with part of the frame when reaching for the sticks, but I guess this has been accounted for and I cannot judge properly just from the photos. Could you please post a detailed shot of how you constructed the kingpin pivots? This part was the most challenging to me, with all the angles required for handling meeting at one point of concentrated pita-ness. In hindsight, I think my solution is not even adhering to a few basic design rules regarding bearing mounting, I'd be interested in yours!

As I understand you are working on a body (fairing?) for this trike, coming along well?
Nice work!

I like the no central tub too, for the same reasons. I do have to disagree though, in that except for the leaners, all of the tadpoles are much more like go-karts than bicycles. It's the nature of turning that puts them so distinctly in different categories. It's irrelevant though, because something like this looks like a ton of fun to ride.
