A Melbourne electric bike vendor:

http://www.flewelectric.com/

another seller of Chinese electric bikes and parts, the bikes look nice though - I went and had a look to check if the battery packs would fit with my greenewheels bike. They dont, unfortunately, but the frames are very similar, so perhaps a later variation of the same design (sourced from http://www.jb-electricbikes.com/ I suppose).

Pushys are specializing in e-bikes in Brisbane, Queensland.
They have a info page: http://www.pushys.com.au/cycling-blog/pushys-electric-bike-showroom-now-open/
Their e-bikes can be found here: http://www.pushys.com.au/push-bikes-cycling-bmx-mtb-road/electric-bikes.html

All bike are available to buy online, but you can also visit their showroom for a test ride.
They sell Emotion, eZee, Gazelle, Gomier, Power-Ped, Schwalbe, Whisper.
They're open from 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday and can be found at:
Unit 4/246 Evans Road
Salisbury
4107 Qld AUS
Call on: 1300 739 896

Pushys probably has the biggest range in Brisbane now.
The last ReNew magazine did a review of electric bikes. Nice to see eZee get a few of their line up in the top 10!

Another source of the Cyclone type kit and parts http://shop.rocksolidengines.com.au...ion=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1&vmcchk=1&Itemid=1

There are other e-bike stores popping up all over the place now soo it's hard to keep up, but I'm seeing an increasing number that are selling more than one brand or type which is good for prospective buyers to be able to test ride a few http://melbourneelectricbicycles.com.au/

Electric Bikes Brisbane http://www.electricbikesbrisbane.com/ selling BH Emotion, eZee, Ordica, Pedego and Solar bike

Easy2Ride Electric Bikes http://www.easy2ride.com.au/ selling the FreeGo range, 16Ahr battery as standard.

Beyond Oil http://beyond-oil.com/ disc brakes front and rear.

Allsturdy http://www.allsturdy.com/products/electric-bikes/electric-mountain-bike/ disc front, V-brake rear, $1035 with 16Ahr battery, hmm seems quite cheap, wonder what the spare parts and after sales service is like.

Don't know anyone in Brisbane that does custom 12g spokes, but Glow Worm Bicycles in Sydney does http://glowwormbicycles.com.au/stor...ories/wheelbuilding-items/custom-cut-spokes-0

yeah thanks, have already contacted them waiting for an invoice and also John K, but prefer to avoid getting more stuff that is probably the same from him...

Thanks jateureka. Reply sent to John Bozi.

We also have a few spokesets that can be purchased by scrolling down the page to the paypal 'buy' buttons here:
http://glowwormbicycles.com.au/stor...ies/wheelbuilding-items/set-custom-cut-spokes
They're sold in quantities of 32-40 per set and the price per spoke decreases with the more you buy :D

No need to be public or private so will post here anyway, I don't quite understand what 11/12 gauge means. As I need 12 gauge and not in between.

thanks again

But I am still struggling to find 12 gauge, might have to find a motorbike store or something.

A 11/12 gauge means it's a butted spoke - it has a thicker section and a thinner section:

11-12g-butted.jpg

The wheel's original 12g spokes don't fit tightly through the motor's flange holes which is why people wanted thicker spokes in that area. At the threaded end, it's the same diameter as the old spokes.

If you're after motorcycle spokes, you might try here:

thanks for that explanation, that looks even stronger

not sure if you can see in this pic u probably have anyway from my blog here.

the spokes do twist a bit quite easily so I am guessing in my newbiness that the 11 part would fit and possibly fit even better or not at all LOL.

I don't have super fine measuring tools and would hate to buy a full set if they won't fit...

Has anyone else gone 11/12 on this crystalyte 4065 or equivalent spoke hole from the originals...?

I have been looking around here in Western Australia for bikes shops selling e-Bikes so if anyone has suggestions ...

For what it is worth I have found:

Mercer Cycles - Fremantle - Gazelle and they stock a few bikes when I went in there

Canning Bridge Cycles - BH Emotion bikes - They have a Race in stock

Zap Electric Vehicles

e-Bikes-R-Us - Fremantle

Just Ride It have opened up a shop in Perth at the top end of Hay St City. Next Door to the Gi Ant man.
Lots of very cool fixes. They do the Sola kits on some very interesting bikes.

Sorry for the necropost, but thought it better than making a new thread.

Does anyone know someone in Sydney who can put together a battery pack? I have batteries BMS etc coming, but need somebody with the equipment/expertise to assemble it.

TIA
