I'm planning a trip to UK.
I just bought an Easy Motion foldable bike yesterday that works beautifully. Its got an 'obsolete' emotion 36v/9ah battery pack. Well-designed, but I appear to be holding the last battery for it on Earth.
The thrift shop I found it at has three more Easy Motion bikes, all brand new (unsold inventory from 2011-2012), but all missing the battery.
These are well-made, and fairly well-appointed. $2200-2800 MSRP. They have 350 watt front hub motors, and 6-step pedal assist.
Without the battery, however? They have almost no value.
I would like to know if you have a source for batteries in the UK? Or if you are willing to help me and the thrift shop find a solution to the e-bikes just taking up floor space at their very cool little community-based bike shop. The bike shop employs single moms, and lets kids come in and 'work' on bikes most days. They get a little local funding and support for this, so I would like to help them, too.
There is one more folding bike on their floor, and two urban-commuter style bikes that need batteries - or that need to be 'chopped' and re-fitted with new controller, BMS and batts.
The bike maker is BH. I've contacted them, and they are being helpful. They agreed to contact their headquarters in Spain on my behalf to seek out batteries.
It would be a shame if the thrift shop had to throw all that gear away.
I have lots of pictures if that helps.
Will you please let me know if you have any insights or suggestions?
Thanks, in advance.
