Since I don't have much to offer electrically, I do have some rocking electronic music to offer to the rocking community of Endless Sphere. It's the least I can give back for all the sensible advice and high-tech shenanigans that this awesome community is willing to share. And for no-money-down. Rock On.

I invite anyone, whoever is interested in what's bumping in my headphones during my DCR rides, to my private webcasts to family, friends *and even foes* world wide. My webcasts are 1 hour + minutes of non-stop DJ mixes of dance music, true to the DJ art, in mp3 format. For the EV heads planning a Green Party this New Year's Eve, feel free to: download my mixes to your playlist, roll up a fat one, and get-down.

Mind you, I'm not limited to just "techno", so expected to hear some silly-a$$-sh!t I can get a tad bit soulful for most techies, but even so, check it out as I might drop something in it that you might like. It's free. And free is cheap. Like it or not, it's there for the taking. So Please Enjoy.

Happy New Year, Endless Sphere. Keep up the quality work.

Forward. Forward, I say! Forward to Denmark!

LOL, "hit me with your rhythm stick"!

Disco isn't really my style, but not bad. Parts of it remind me of Deep Dish's Chocolate City. Rock on... :D

EDIT: CONGRATULATIONS!! Your song is the 1000th song to be added to my current playlist! YOU WIN THE PRIZE! Enjoy this fine relic from when man first walked the earth and SLA was the best around!!

t-rex-dinosaur-trophy-1.jpg

EDIT: DOUBLE PRIZE!! I hit 10W! WTF number is 68 for a milestone!! I think I missed the actual posting that got me to this level!! IT'S 4:00 IN THE MORNING!!!! I THINK I'VE HAD TOO MUCH CAFFEINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Link!

Man, that is one crispy critter... thanks but I already ate! Is that what 10 W members eat? You're gonna need some fiber to push that out, tee hee!

I knew I'd get a LOLz with "Rhythm Stick" Glad you're enjoying my mix. Enjoy the new year!

Another electronica mix is up. This time round: a little more introspective, meditative. Lots of old tracks and songs weaved and negotiated with ancient ones that are new to me (and most EV heads), swerving souls from one "demention" to another. If you ain't got sh!t-else to do, please have a listen, take a little trip through my ears and down into the back roads of my mind to see what's bumping and rattling in there. Headphones and yoga mat recommended.

Peas,
J

Caution: Not to be listened to while driving or operating heavy machinery

Alright, this one is for Doctor Bass simply because it has a woman singing in French.

Tyler might like the song with Marla Singer pawing herself in another song.

It's actually an old mix edited with a newer one, hence the title "DoctoredMusic" Please excuse the low quality mp3, it's an hour and a half mix and I have a 50mb limit on the server. Enjoy!

Here's one for Sheldon Brown's untimely death. No, I never knew the man. No, I know d!ck about bicycles. But when I found his site this EDIT: mid last year, I knew he was someone special so it's a bit of a downer to hear him go.

This mix starts heavy but the energy eventually picks up gets a bit crazy.

Part II just goes absolutely bananas. Just ape-sh!t. :?

I'm kooky like that, shoot me.

Cheers

Also, how on earth do you find new bugs to exploit in a >20 year old machine?

Damn, Mathurin that was retro as fnck, thanks for that!

This guy Viznut stepped up the Lo-tech sounds . . .

I dabbled in computer music back in the day using my cousin's Commodore and a cassette tape drive and a TV for a monitor, and it sounded very much like that. This was at the time before PC's became the new synthesizer.

EDIT: Whoa, just did a little search on Vic 20 . . . That's the same PC my cousin had!

http://oldcomputers.net/vic20.html

We spent summers copying programs from books, modifying them, even though we weren't into computers or programming... hell I didn't even know it was a Vic 20..

Then I went on to digital waveform editing. I bought a 16bit stereo soundcard for $200 but my 386 PC couldn't even handle the workload and kept locking up. I thought it was a big deal. Nowadays it's worthless.

I'm currently banging tunes with soft-synths on my laptop. Not that I'm any good at it, mind you. But I love it as a hobby.

So Mathurin, are you into electronica? Or were you just trying give Tyler a headache?

J

Ah, ha, ha, ha! OMG! The friggin' cat! My friend's does the same thing!

Uh, yeah I'll listen to electronica, industrial, old punk, old rock, classic, hip hop, opera, country, bluegrass, etc.

Currently listening to Throbbing Gristle 1978 D.O.A. The Third And Final Report 01 - i.b.m.
http://anonym.to/http://www.mininova.org/tor/273919

And you may not remember it, but the reason your cousin and you were altering the programs from magazines is because they were always just about unplayable. 8)

The Vic 20 games worked ok I guess. I remember the tape drive being slow as hell though. We were just content with being able to play any game without dropping quarters in a machine! 8)

Later we hacked the games at arcades for free credits using a simple trick: quarter-with-a-string-attached. The first time I saw this technique was an old Popeye cartoon where Wimpy strung a nickelodeon movie. We earned money selling 100's and 100's of "strung credits"

As for Vic 20 program mods, we were just interested in how the programs worked. My cousin was more into the games and I was more into music programs.

More nostalgia: I have the original EDIT: the second version of Atari Pong console "Super Pong" in my closet. I brought it from the states hoping to veg-out on those WHOPPING  FOUR mindless games. But found out it doesn't work, shite... I've been itching to open it and probe around with the multimeter but it has tamper proof screw heads. Only a dremel can grind the heads off without damaging the housing. One day . . . if it's unserviceable, I'll try to use is a soft-synth controller.

Yes, classic rock, US and british punk, new wave, genres that I've been revisiting lately, but with a dance DJ approach. I was very into the Dead Kennedy's, saw them a couple of times. These days, my staple being more dance oriented music, nusoul/nujazz/brokenbeat. I found some Throbbing Gristle, one remixed by Two Lone Swordsman. It sounds good, I may drop it in a mix soon.

On the topic of " Clubbing " or going out to clubs.. i rather hang out with my dog and work on my bikes..

I talk to 80 stupid/angry people per day during my 7.5hr shift.. by the time i get home.. the last thing i want to do is see more people.. lol..

That or i am actually getting older ( 29 btw )

Hi Ypedal,

Yeah, it's good to come home, reboot, recharge, get straight like a Buddhist. I'm sure your dog feels like he's been waiting forever and a day.

I don't go out and stay up late much anymore either. Just as well... clubbers' badass attitudes here stinks just as bad as their tobacco smoke. There was a time when you didn't have to be a social butterfly to go out and enjoy loud music. Nowadays, it's not about the music, it's about status. Fnck all that.

8) I love listening to music while riding. I'm still a addicted to music new or old, it's why I carry on making DJ mixes. And with the internet, I can "broadcast" anytime, to anyone in the world who wants to listen. L.I.G. 8)

BTW what do you listen to? What music is popular in your area?

J

I'm a product of the 80's .. so the Metallica/AC-DC/etc tunage is my thing in general, but i listen to just about anything from rock, alternative, whatever is on the radio type stuff..

Not a fan of country, but i can tolerate it.

I used to live with music 24/7, but recently my Harmon Kardon amp and 200 disk Sony changer have been gathering dust ! lol..

How about SNES sequenced music?

Happy Friday!

I know it's not Friday yet anywhere in this world but whatever. By the time you've read this post we're THAT much closer to Friday.

And to help make week go fast-forward >> I just dropped a mix guaranteed to make you cringe so bad that your chinpo will hide up your bunghole and just shrivel up and die. Well it did with mine, anyway . . . (occupational hazard) This is an old mix so no Rick Astley crooning in this one, but someone far more worse. There are even tunes in it that makes you just wanna yell "Catch the chicken, Rock! Ya gotta catch the chicken!" Knee slapping good times, I tell ya. There are seriously good tunes as well. Have a listen and you decide.

Enjoy! or else . . .
J

Nice SNES tunes by the way, gents. Cheers!

I just found this track from new band "THE HUMANITY".

Here's the bumph from the Rough Trade Shops site;

"the debut single from london's the humanity. 'bass linear' is the soundtrack to the financial and cultural recession of 2008, messaging a generation who have remortgaged their souls amidst the credit-ability crunch."

Guaranteed to rectify ANY chinpo issues. And that's the last time I use that word, EVER.

bass linear

Happy coincidence that the youtube username is "electricman".
