Its one of the more oval dishes if that makes sense, you can use a normal round dish though it will still work, the real trick is in getting the LNB right, there's loads of info online on how to do it, this was made from a bit of copper tube, some old plain copper PCB etch board and some stiff copper wire.
Its amazing how much forward gain you can get with just the LNB, we got about 2 miles line of site with just that, you also need to get the angle to the dish right its just trial and error, the access points we used had signal strength LEDS on the back of them which made it easy to adjust.
