Monster (build thread, Lots of pics, Bike Porn included)

Dlogic, thanks for the link. I'll Email the seller and see if thats a Super Monster or a Super T.

Farfle, Its 21 inches to the bearing, with 40mm legs. MX is probably the way to go. I already blew a seal on this thing, although it might just have been from being an old seal that hadn't been in use for a while.

Check out pccmotor.com for the fork, search fk06 there is an inverted marzocchi clone fork of similar size to what you have now.

these will work with a few parts fabricated....you proly know a guy 8)

blackarrow used minicycle forks on his mongoose & there was another bike with CR80 forks on it.

I may know where a set of super monster T's are, from Josh Bender's old Karpiel Armageddon, I think the guy that has it may be willing to sell. How much are they worth to you? I can go check if you are interested. They have probably been hucked off a cliff or two!

wow are you kidding???? how do you know they are authentic, are they signed by josh???? I would have to have my guy look at them, but i would be interested for sure in buying them if they check out!!! thats a nice peice.

lets start the bidding at 100$ yuuuuupppppp!!!!!

Ok the guy with the Armageddon wasn't home, I'll have to check again. I did find the guy with Josh's other bike. It's a Banshee Scream with a Risse Bigfoot fork on it. The shifter is broke, the front (hayes) and rear brakes (claims he has the matching front one) don't match and the front doesn't work (may be able to be bleed).

Here's a link to the fork. http://www.monkamoo.com/Risse%20Racing%20Pages/rissebigfoot.html

Here's an old add for the bike. http://alwaysmad.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=806

This guy want's $1500 for the bike. I can ship it or whatever parts if anyone wants them.

The guy said it was the bike Bender learned to do back flips on, here is the video. Looks like the bike's been crashed

I contacted Risse racing on the fork. It may work! .. sort of. they may be able to modify it with a diffrent set of clamps, but those aren't available yet. So this is up in that air. They are going to email me more details.

On another note, I hit a new speed record with this bike. I wasn't exactly drafting, but I was in a herd of cars in traffic, in zero wind, so I think I had some aerodynamic help from the other cars. I hit 42.9mph on level ground. Thats with 18S lipo on this 5404! I can't wait to try this thing at 24s!

I haven't updated this in a while. Instead, I've been riding

I think my terminal E bike grin has gone into it's final stages. a couple weeks ago I realized the grin had gone past my ears and was headed to the back of my head. At that point the top of my head will fall off and I'll lose my mind completely.

WHen I go out in public, I have peole waving me down to ask about the bike. Fathers bringing there small boys over to look at it, complete strangers waving and giving me the thmbs up.

Very few people have seen it as an ebike, and I don't tell anyone who doesn't ask, but they all love the Monster. Stealth it Ain't.

On to usefull information. I ordered a bulk charger from evassemble.com. I got the 900w version, since it's smaller and capable of being used in more outlets (it draws nearly 10 amps from the wall, and pops my house breaker if I have anything else on that breaker running)
So far I'm impressed with this thing. It would charge my 1337 watt pack in an hour and a half, if I ever ran the pack empty and dared do a full charge without balancing. So for a top up or partial charge, its 45 minutes to an hour. Perfect for getting me back up riding.

What it lacks is a display. I need to find some kind of pannel meter for this thing. preferably something small.
All in all I'm happy with it. With shipping it was around $200.

Now thats a good picture.

Crusing through Ebay today I ran across a New-in-box Marzocchi Super Monster. I hit that buy button hard enough to dent the internet.
Its Birthday and Christmas all rolled into one for me, but then the delivery date is suppose to be on my Birthday, So that ought to work out.

The Super Monster has 12 inches of travel, 4 more than my Monster, so that should solve the bottoming out issue I've been having.

Hi Drunksunk,

About the CR80 fork I have about 10" or 11" of travel need to measure it again I can't remember exactly, and I have missed you post sorry. But your super Monster fork can better suite your needs

Nice bike :D , good day!

take a look at my mod: http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=47791
i will update this asap, as it's finished now with a volt meter added.

The Super Monster has arrived! And wow, what a Looker!
Some guys think all big girls have nasty legs, but Thicker girls like drew can have some damn sexy legs too. I just can't go for a girl with toothpick legs. I want some meat on those things.
Take a look at Drew's legs:

drew_barrymore_21_zpse04bf704.jpg

Now that is curves. She's easily 30 lbs heavier than your average runway model, But is there anyone here who wouldn't prefer those legs to Kate Moss's?

The same holds true for Ebikes. Some tiny scrawny little carbon blade fork would sure look nice wrapped in some fancy logo on a showroom race bike, but in the real world, I want some legs on my bike with real meat! The Marzocchi Super Monster is real meat! Its the largest production fork made. Risse makes one with the same travel, but it's actually smaller. It has 12 inches of... you don't care, you just want the porn. So here it is! :D

Here's our girl laying out on the beach. Don't get a burn sweety! ( I am going to be so very dead when the GF finds out I've swiped her panties again... )

Oh look she has a friend. (That's a Walmart BSO 26" fork beside her.)

I notice the wallmart shocks are nude in every photo. what a slut, no class at all. :p

I got to ride!
This thing feels huge . It was big before, but the front shock is actually 6 inches taller although it only adds 4 inches more travel. That puts the seat about 2 inches higher and the pedals about 3 more. It will take getting used to.
57.5" wheelbase now. Long bike is loooonng. And it turns like a bus. But so what?

Same Wall as last time, only this time with the big fork.

And against a blue wall.

I'll get more shots later, and some video.

now try and do a wheelie. hehe. can you post the original pic with the old shocs with it for comparison?

love the bike mate. inspired to build my own frame now.
