Which motor do I have on Trailz?

I bought a Currie Trailz from a guy who said it was 2008 model with the only stamp on the motor:
XYDJ1010 and what I believe is a S/N: 00312B

I assume this is a 250w motor, but there is no other labeling to confirm this. Any ideas?

What may I look for in the controller to determine if this controller can handle greater than 24v ? (not necessarily with this motor...)

To my knowledge the Trailz bikes have always had a 450 watt motor. If it's stock, that's what it has.

Thanks - that changes my LiFEPO4 battery planning. The Clean Republic CR1210s should be a 2S2P configuration given detailed look at its specs. Looking at other alternatives now and posted in Homemade Battery Packs forum topic.

Currie supplies both 250w and 450w but the 250w is generally for Canida and other countries that have low wattage laws. It is almost certain you have a 450w if it was sold in the US. Look at the controller...it should be marked as a 35a. If not then the motor is likely not a 450w.
