Did anyone tried to improve cyclone cooling by adding thermal paste between the stator and the motor housing?

The thermal sensor is in the stator and it will cut off power at 85ºC
At this temperature the motor cover it's only at 48ºC so I think there is much room to improvement here.

No need to add aluminum cooling fins until the contact between the stator and the housing it's fixed. It just isn't efficient.

Cheers,
André

I saw a Russian guy put a blower on flat part of the casing (red) and drilled holes (green), 7000W. His blog is offline now... :(

André, és da região de Lisboa?

For my first ever e-bike build a new housing was made for the cyclone motor.

I lived in Spain back then and especially during the hot summer month the motor overheated quit often.
After this modification it was run at approximately 1,2 Kw and never failed again.
