electric trial bike

I like where this is going!! Soon, we will have a new trials generation trained on those OSET and with the lack of noise and costs associated with maintenance, this will be a really accesible sport, at least I hope so :)

Oliver is growing like a weed;)
the new oset 24" seems to fit him well ..
looks very production ready and i hope they come to market soon!
im liking the reinforced frame, large low battery space, skip plate
and of course the larger diameter wheels and overall size..
great work! 8)

(btw: mecatecno, beta, and kuberg are also working on intermediate wheel trial bikes, so its getting interesting!:)

Hi,

I've just tried the EM 5.7 at and around the factory, and I'm just amazed at the quality, the feeling of the bike... and its nice crew. It can be used from beginner to Expert, really versatile with its different maps. In 15 minutes I was at ease with the handling and controls.

Within a few weeks they're due to announce a new model, more trail orientated, with around twice the capacity.
The only thing I am sure of, is that I'll get one of these, which one I don't know yet.

Cheers

Xavier

Nice. I thought the bracing at the front of the seat 'strut' seemed unneeded until I read that the seat strut is removable. The yellow bars are for tugging the bike out of the brush after going wide on a trail?

And shouldn't that front valve stem exit where two spokes diverge instead of underneath where they cross?

[EDIT] Upon further examination it seems what first appeared to me to be a 'box' aluminum frame is probably a conventional multi-tube frame covered in pretty plastic. The swingarm could be a solid piece of aluminum, but I don't know.

I can't get excited about anything with a hub motor...unless it's a road build.

Spanish motorcycle manufacturer Bultaco has unveiled a new version of the Brinco. The original Bultaco Brinco 108 was powered by a 74cc, two-stroke powerplant while the latest edition is a pedal assisted electric mountain bike. The Bultaco Brinco is powered by a 1kWh lithium-ion battery which takes just two hours to get fully charged. Being an electric bike, torque figures are set to be impressive and the Bultaco Brinco produces a notable 60Nm of torque. The Spanish manufacturer claims that the Brinco’s torque rating is 10Nm more than the Honda CBR500R.

The Bultaco Brinco features three riding modes – ECO, Urban and Sport. If the rider uses ECO mode in conjunction with pedalling the E-Bike will have arrange of 160km. In sport mode, the motor utilises its torque rating to its maximum potential so that it can hit its top speed of 60kmph. The urban mode is a combination of the above two settings. Urban mode provides a level of performance and range between the other two settings.
We are in a very interesting phase of the development of the eBike, as major manufacturers from Honda, Suzuki, even Harley-Davidson are rolling out increasingly innovative designs that appeal to their mainstay demographic. What's not to love about these mean-machines? Oh.... 4,800 euros, $6K USD. A bit pricey, but if you're a trail-hound, this little beauty is a dream-machine.

stonezone why have you got the 24" in your signature? If you own one how could you get it? The store in my city doesn't list them yet.

I'm a 85kg big boy and play with the idea of the oset 20 as fun bike just because it looks decently priced... I'm short and grew up on bmx so like being low to the ground but can't decide if the 20 might be worth it still or just wait for the 24 to be released. It will probably look more stealth like mtb than a big guy on mini bike...

(oset 24 is in competition testing & not due on market anytime very soon)

He built his own "24"
My Oset...17 inch moto wheels should be done in the next few weeks =)...so its kind of an 'Oset 21.5OD'

I'd say the best improvement I made to mine was the 3" swingarm extension. Even with the stock sneakers on it, the bike becomes much more manageable for a larger rider (I also lowered and move the pegs back a bit). The problem is, add those mods, plus some decent suspension and now you're properly able to smash this bike and, although I haven't yet, It feels like it's going to snap....

All in all, what a super fun and well-made bike. I love it, but the more you upgrade the performance of everything other than the frame, the more you realize that it still is a kids bike at heart. A few key structural additions could remedy that, and at the same time there's a lot of metal that can be removed.

post photos please!

Had the chance to test this sweet little fun-machine for one day. Actually was my first ebike/motobike ever.
Loved every minute, this is what came out of it... :D

Definitly helped me to sort out my "will buy" choice of eBikes a little more! Mid drive ftw!!! 8)
