Votol Em50 regen

Does anyone have experience with the em50's regen? Is it efficient regen meaning that it fully - or almost fully - regenerate the kinetic energy at high efficiency or is it some sorta half ass regen where some of the current goes back to the pack and some of the current heats up the windings like crazy (possibly killing the motor).
