In retirement I've decided to, among other things, indulge my life-long appreciation for and interest in bicycles as a form of transportation and recreation (I'm from England originally). I have no interest in bicycling as a sport. I want to become a proficient bicycle mechanic, as well as a competent builder of ebike conversions. I'm focusing primarily on Electra Townies and Dahon folding bicycles.

After 10 years in the US Navy, I went to college, became a CPA and got caught up in the Silicon Valley frenzy as an independent consultant to startup businesses and turnaround situations. My wife and I enjoy road trips by motorcycle (Can-Am Spyder), camping trips (16' Scamp) and long trips by truck (bringing along our compact folding ebikes) to explore places in the US and Canada that are new for us.
