1989 Kawasaki EX500 (Ninja) - EV conversion, finished but still refining

Glad you didn't 'break' yourself. Did the driver stop and admit fault? Will you be compensated by their insurance? If so, I'm curious how they will deal with a self built bike.

    Puch newport 2 build

Nice project! The Vesc/Flipsky 75100 controller might be a good upgrade for this motor. If you get that dialed in correctly to the motor it might cause less heating of the motor. And as mentioned by j bjork above getting the volts and rpm's up but gearing the moped down helps as well...

    Recumbent moped.

It is not in the steering angle but in the type of front fork (not designed for this frame) you used. That has much different triple clamp geometry and combined with the front axle forward position gives a much different trail length. Nice project though so good luck improving and enjoying it!

I also vote for a hub motor so you have more space in the frame for a battery pack. Nice project and good luck building it!

Mobility use - 14" wheels and hub motors?

Great that you are trying to design an affordable and easily repairable powered wheelchair. Some concerns I have with this design are the independent suspension making it less stable and even easy to fall over if a user would try to climb a curb this way. Avoidable by always climbing obstacles...

Mobility use - 14" wheels and hub motors?

What are you trying to design exactly? For what kind of user and what kind of terrain? A normal wheelchair with an attachable electric handbike would be the simplest solution. Electric handbike (build it with a 14.5 inch wheelbarrow hub motor) If you are looking for low speed and high torque...

Your Creation's Before & After Pics

No need to shout in all caps, I can read you just fine. By placing the battery pack on the rear fork/swing arm you have put all the weight of the pack right above the rear axle. As it is mounted stiff to the fork it will get all the beating that the wheel does as it is unsprung/not suspended...
