I tried the seat triangle, can’t remember why I didn’t go with it tho. Might have been one of three…clearance requirements for the shock, cable routing and the lengths I had, or heat near sensitive parts….check out rear swing ar mount though as it could be neat.

I think it’d be worth looking at mounting on the rear swing arm too. I didn’t want to modify my cable too much, and wanted to hide the controller inside. But I reckon it could be a very neat build if its possible. The battery and CA cable being the only two cables and one brake hose coming into...

The phaserunner has been re-used. Most of the parts were on my specialized demo 8 ii build and the phaserunner was a very nice form factor to fit into that frame. It is a great little controller for my purposes given it’s totally silent, gives my enough amps when matched to my battery (35a at...

Finally (almost) finished. Decided to mount phaserunner outside rather than inside the frame. It was in my view too hot to be that close to the battery. I could have risked it in a colder climate but not happy doing it with our 40+C summer days. Had a problem with the boxxer steerer binding in...

Been busy - here’s where I am so far…. Em3ev battery fits in but needs access to the BMS switch. Solution, use a kayak/drain plug in the side panel, remove the bung and finger hits the switch perfectly. Howitzer bb from seller in Ukraine with holzfeller cranks from Canada, magura storm hc...

Build coming along slowly - boxxer steerer has been replace sand headset installed. Alpha I have didn’t take the FSA big fat pig, so my LBS used parts from three headsets to make one - and charged very very little too. Support your LBS as you never know when you’ll need them. I’ve found a dnp 9...

Stealth Clone -- Looking for rear rack solution

Probably not suitable for you, but a Thule pack n pedal tour rack will fit on the front forks. I’ve tried to get it to fit a rear swing arm and to date have failed with it there so I have had to go with a topeak beam rack from the seat post.

Box full of futr alpha arrived today. So I’ve been looking at how the bits will fit inside the frame - and it’s almost as tho the frame was built to fit the em3ev 14s7p battery. The upper part of the frame is folded just below the side panel rivnuts. The folds on either side are a parallel...

Thanks again Rix. Been stripping my old bike and have a few bits n bobs coming for things that don’t fit. Frame is in the post and the fork crown is off to get a new steerer. It’ll be a straight 1 1/8th so a bit confused as to the headset I need to get.

Now I’ve ordered the Alpha, the stoopid questions will start - apologies folks. Front fork head tube on the p7 is 165mm by the looks of it, but I can get a new steerer on my boxxer locally for 150AUD so that makes things a lot easier. The battery space will allow the phaserunner to fit in...

Motor options for Alpha frame - has anyone installed any of the smaller 137mm motors in the rear dropouts - HS3540 or GMAC? I bought the P7r, love it for the handling, and now for a project am thinking of swapped my old parts into a new frame-this includes the em3ev 14s7p battery that won’t...

I prefer the xt90 anti-spark but they can be a tricky solder vs the Anderson crimping. So I use XT’s for controller and Anderson for charger connections. If you have space the big 50A or 75A Anderson’s are good.

Nice looking pack Tom. I’m too scared to take my old Dyson battery apart to repurpose the cells.... I just know I’d end up shorting something.

Getting my durolux setup on the p-7r for pavement - here are some shockwiz readings of the journey so far. Just dropped again this time to 46psi some 35+ psi less than the suntour manual says. Bike keeps getting better and better.

EM3ev WARNING - abysmal customer support.

I’ve been using this for my Em3ev BMS on iOS. Hardcase 14s7p 33g - my third battery from them bought about 3 yrs ago, all looked after with a satiator still going strong https://apps.apple.com/au/app/smart-bms-doctor/id1459971735

1abv - riding it on pavement. Concrete and asphalt paths that have been lifted or cracked by tree roots, with a few hills and with the occasional kerb. So 40+ kmh with sharp bumps, some compressions, deep braking but no jumps. I’ve set the shockwiz up to get a ‘playful’ tune using a fair bit of...

P7-R suspension setup continues - now down at 47.5 psi in the front lol. Dynamic sag is 20% and it’s even better. Every ride I’ve had appreciative comments from other riders. This is a very good looking bike that’s quick of the mark. DC1 capacity/ range gauge gets a little confused with my...

Best rear shock for heavy ebike.

Swapped the shockwiz onto my new bike that has a durolux fork - so much better than my old boxxer over high speed root/rippled surface. The suntour fork has much more compression ratio than the boxxer. Again at 52psi it’s got my air pressure for a rider 20kgs less than I actually am. My riding...

130kms riding and getting the p7-r dialled in. It’s a really nice handling bike. Wasn’t getting anywhere with the stock bars as they don’t have any markings so my adjustments were somewhat coarse. So enter a renthal fatbar 31.8 - these have got lots of lines and measures to work from. Lifted the...

I’ve been out playing with my clickers today - made rear rebound softer by a couple of clicks and not getting kicked out the saddle now. Fitted the shockwiz to the durolux fork and ran the calibration a couple of times-boy is it tough to extend, it’s got a real high compression ratio in it...

    E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

What a fun little bike the p7-r is. Did my first shakedown ride and compared to my demo with the 3540 and battery hanging out the ass like a 911, the handling is night and day. And that’s with the seat too low, too far forward and the bars too angled back. Once I get the contact points set up...
