    ASI BAC 855 to BBSHD

Does anybody know which pins on the 855 are for the Bafang wheel speed sensor and PAS? Can the PC version of BACdoor be used to configure the 855 without login credentials?

    BBSHD VESC Settings

You would have thought that these things could tune themselves by now. They have all the feedback for a control loop but no algorithm on top of that to actually tune. 3D printers were like this a few years ago too but they are a bit better now.

    BBSHD VESC Settings

Thanks. I bought a Flipsky 75100 V2 pro so hopefully it should be ok updating. I also got myself a 8 speed 46T-11T which I will use with the stock 46T steel chainring. The third cog is 34T and it gives a reasonably straight chain line so it will be 46T to 34T (1:1.35) which should reach peak...

    BBSHD VESC Settings

I think I might have it mixed up. When it says motor pulley it's talking about the chain ring right? And the wheel pulley is the cassette? It's not talking about the internal motor gearing? So all I need to enter is the chain ring to rear cassette gear ratio and then the amount of motor poles...

Bafang firmware - Could someone send me a edited file for the G510?

Does anyone have a stock file for the G510 (no halls) which they could edit for me? I would like to reduce the cut off to 30V if that is possible. Assuming the logic hardware will still operate properly at 30V. Happy to PP $50 for a working file. Thanks. EDIT: Forget it actually because I will...

Please recommend me a 100V FET for the Bafang G510 controller

Did you use those for 20S 60A in the G510/M620 controller? I think the better ones might be suited to other applications. A really low RDSon would be ideal for something like a spot welder.

I will keep them all the same, thanks.

Please recommend me a 100V FET for the Bafang G510 controller

Do switching characteristics matter? The stock Chinese HYG064N08NA1B have low capacitance, gate charge and rise time values in comparison. I tried to match the values as close as possible to the stock FETs and it is impossible with the really low RDSon 100V FETs which is probably because the...

Please recommend me a 100V FET for the Bafang G510 controller

Please could someone recommend a high quality 100V FET which is suitable for this controller? It is currently using these: HYG064N08NA1B Marking Code: G064N08 Type of Transistor: MOSFET Type of Control Channel: N -Channel Maximum Power Dissipation (Pd): 208 W Maximum Drain-Source Voltage |Vds|...

Bafang G510 M620 UART vs CAN efficiency? Which is better for 20S 60A?

Does anyone know if the controllers are any different in terms of efficiency? I saw a CAN PCB and it looked really different to the UART one. It looked like they had added current measuring on the phases. I am just interested to know if the CAN version is any better than the UART. I would...

    Chinese copper welding machine

I recently asked a seller from China who sells 0.2mm copper strip and other battery building supplies what they use to weld 0.2mm copper and the guy said this pulse argon spot welder can be used. Has anyone tried this...

    5x Maxwell 1200F Ultracapacitors + BMS

Brand new. All 5x are between 0.40mOhm - 0.42mOhm. One of the threads needed repairing as it was damaged. I was originally going to use these in a 5S configuration and adjust the charge voltage with an adjustable PSU so I could regulate the welding current. I changed my plans and went with 3S...

Help with nylon gear in BBSHD

Do you know if the centre of the needle bearing is supposed to turn? I need to replace my nylon gear and I noticed on the replacement gear the middle part of the bearing does not turn but the front and rear parts do. The needle rollers all spin but the needle cage itself does not spin like the...

    Step up DC-DC charger repair

Recently I have been using the DPX800S modules to charge batteries. I used to use the common 1200W/1800W "house brick" step up converters but the DPX800S is much more refined so I have swapped over to these. I have a faulty module and I wondered if you could replace the main FET with something...

Nucular Electronics owner's thread (setup infos, FW updates, links etc.)

This is probably a silly question but how do you connect the uLight to an isolated DC-DC? I thought you just disconnected the 12V from the controller and added the isolated DC-DC to those pins but when I spoke to Vasiliy he said something about leaving the +12V from the controller connected. I...

    Molicel P26A - Rejects

I think they were customer returns. They have inconsistent drift but there are none which are too bad. If you don't mind sorting them into groups and using a BMS which can monitor and balance without charging they will probably be fine. The Sony cells are completely fine and require no...

How to make a mosfet switch?

So basically the DC-DC became a short somehow when I removed the battery negative from the input? If I had a better isolated DC-DC is there anything wrong with my wiring? I had to order the same converter again so I think I will use a diode on the output and switch the positive. Can you...

How to make a mosfet switch?

This is how I have connected it? I think it got hot when I opened the charge or discharge mosfets, I can't remember which ones. It made an arcing noise and was around 50C in just a few seconds.

How to make a mosfet switch?

I thought the isolation in most common DC-DC converters was done with a coil, diodes, mosfet and an opto isolator, this is why I asked for help  . When I googled isolated DC-DC schematic most of the designs used what looked like a coil so I just copied it. The reason I want to switch the...

How to make a mosfet switch?

Would this be ok, I made this from a guide I found? If you think it is ok could you choose a readily available 150V mosfet and fill in the remaining values for me?

How to make a mosfet switch?

I think I might need a P channel because I need the positive +90V wire to be switched  . Maybe I could use your design for my other projects which do not require the positive to be switched. Do you know how to make the same thing but with a P channel mosfet? Also do I need to put a...
