    Thanks Speedmd, so at 3 bricks (12s) min voltage would be 42v. is there a LV cut out built into the controller ? Am I right in thinking I need some sort of BMS using these batteries Any recommendations/guidance, Thanks, Steve.

    Bob's very simple <1kW friction drive

    How about fitting a bearing to the inside of the roller, run a copy of the left hand side plate on the right, Use a cap head bolt as a spigot to support the inner race of the fitted bearing?
