Hey guys. I installed one of the $40 amazon light kits on my bike (24v/450w/33aH on a rebuilt Schwinn). It's wired directly to the batteries for power and works fine when the bike is off. As soon as I flip the switch (toggle switch and 50a breaker in series) to power on the bike itself, the lighting system goes dead.
HUH ?
Do those kits have some sort of low-voltage shut-off and poweringup the bike itself drops the voltage below that value ? I am at a loss here since it SHOULD be completely indepandant of the bike itself.
