Anyone know about/tried TOSEVEN Mid Drive?

An older FS MTB would probably work best for a mid-drive install. You'll need a bottom bracket that is doable, and space for a battery. It helps to be able to build your own custom battery.

I did this one from free parts, Rocky Moutain Elements frame, and put a TSDZB2 in it. Not happy with a 36v TSD, but it taught me something about batteries.

I also did this FS MTB, but it's a hub drive. $50 for the bike:

Fitted my dm02 and so far loving it. Build quality seems extremely solid. Lots of options in the setup in reality too many. Seems powerful and intuitive to use, and has a nice pick up of power. Q factor is a little wide and offset to the drive side a bit, but nothing I mind to much. Anyway very happy with it so far, will be taking it on some single track trails next week to give it a good work out

I want to share my experience with Toseven Dm01. I have a Toseven dm01, it is the best engine I have had in terms of driving experience, unfortunately after 600 km the "motor blocked" message appeared, it is impossible to order parts, I wrote to Toseven, I disassembled the set, checked everything, connected it to another controller and it looks like a problem with the engine, I have practically no service support from Toseven, I have been trying to order parts for about 2 months, but the engine is not available, I have sent 10 e-mails asking them to sell me the parts they have and no response , they sent an email with available parts, I replied giving the address and placing the order, again no contact despite several emails sent regarding the order. Toseven is the best engine until it breaks down. I have now ordered another Tsdz8 and that Dm01 is broken for now with no chance of repair due to lack of parts. Top engine with terrible service support. I am totally disappointed that they could make such a good product and screw up the service so much.

My dm02 experience so far is mixed. Yes there are lots of options to play with in setup and a big plus is you can use a 36 or 48vbattery. Also good clearance between bb and motor housing, better to run cables. Motor is responsive and on par with tsdz02, maybe a bit more power on highest setting.
Two biggest downsides though, it is definitely noisier than my old tsdz02 , almost like internal gears not meshing nicely and also some vibration that can be felt in the pedals when motor is working hard.

Also sometimes a little yellow triangle will flash on the screen amd the motor won't drive for a few seconds

Not sure if I got a bad one, or if this is how it should be for the model

It seems easier to pedal than the tsdz02 when the motor is turned off and build quality seems a lot nicer

However I'm not overly happy with it when compared to the TS , my two biggest issues are the noise and lack of smoothness / vibration from the drive when under load

Also is seems to under read the battery percentage considerably

Anyway hope others who have purchased it are happier with theirs

Did you mean you lose motor assist for a few seconds with the yellow triangle? That's definitely not normal. Did you check the battery and whether it has a solid electrical connection to the motor?

How? All I see is 2 battery voltage options
1) go to battery settings
2) leave cursor/selection at the very top
3) press and hold UP + DOWN on display for few seconds
4) Use these values according to your nominal battery voltage
