Most cheap controllers like Kunteng or Brainpower can't deal with a BB torque by default.
But there are controllers available, that can be used plug and play with the torquesensor. e.g. a Bafang for a Bafang BB torquesensor, or a Lishui for an E-Rider Txx sensor. JYTCon offers a system, too.
And of course you can use a pre controller like the Cycle Analyst to make it work with any generic controller with a throttle input.

After a few years using tongsheng tsdz2 and 2B mid drives with OSF, I decided to try a hub drive with bb torque sensor setup. I bought a bafang rear hub g20 I think it is, that came with a bafang display, and a T17 bottom bracket and Lishu controller, with the intention of installing OSF. I just got the goods and was looking for the information of setting the bike up and found a comment by stancecoke saying not just any Lishu controller would work, it had to be a model number ending in F. Mine is lsw1728-2E, and since it was manufactured 06/2025 and the thread I read was a couple of years old I was wondering if the list of suitable controllers had been expanded or modified. In short, can I put the OSF on this controller, or am I SOL? Thanks and sorry if this is not the place to ask the question

Can you post a photo? The new generation controllers with the green label do not have the F any more....
