I've been MTB'ing off and on since the early 90s. I'm 6'5 so finding used bikes that fit me isn't easy.
There is a 2018 Comencal Metapower in XL near me that I plan to go look at and maybe purchase. It has great reviews and is reportedly in great shape, owned by a knowledgeable ebike guy.
My questions are:
A: does the age eliminate it in your mind as a good choice? Has technology/batteries/etc had huge leaps forward since 2018?
B: are replacement batteries for factory ebikes available? (to my novice eyes they look very model specific, vs DIY ebike batteries)
C: any other bikes you'd recommend at the $2000 pricepoint? I'm used to very good components, so I'm not sure I'd be happy with a low-end new ebike.
Thanks in advance.
