I've been happy enough with my Lyen 18 FET controllers but what are there in the way of alternatives? For example how about the BLDC 0501 from Goldenmotor for pairing with my Crystalyte 5303? It's about 80% of the way down the controllers page at http://www.goldenmotor.com/
Reasons being I have 2 Lyen controllers, neither working for over 4 months. I'm not being critical because he is very busy but I've been off the road for over 4 months now so would like some kind of solution to get me running again. 18FET 4115 132V blew following a wiring short- my rack broke and yanked wires out- additional damage may have been caused at the motor connector during recovery of the bike which had shorted. 18 FET 4110 has never worked for me -not any response- after rebuilding with a new board despite sending back for retesting (it passed)- I redid wiring, connectors, changed throttle, switches, minimal wiring all with no joy :( But the 4115 worked immediately on connecting to the same setup
Normally ran @ 36V, sometimes 72V, Ed Lyen was aware of this and requested to check at 36V.

Anyhow, the latest is he says the 4110 does work for him- yet it just won't work at all for me. I've asked about replacing the board, but has anyone any further suggestions?
The 4415 has a fault he can't trace so I've asked about a new board. Slightly worried as I just couldn't get the 4110 to go.

Any suggestions? And what about getting a Golden Motor BLDC 0501 controller- or is there any other controller you guys could recommend?

I had the 132v Lyen controller on 108v. It lasted about 4 mo. Customer Service there was non-existent. I am done with Lyen Controllers and NO SUPPORT.

After some thought I went for another Kelly Controller to replace the Lyen 132v Controller on the Crystalyte Crown TC-65 and up the voltage to 132v. This time I got the Kelly 144v general purpose controller -- maybe a bit big?

see http://kellycontroller.com/khb1420124-144v200aopto-bldc-controllerwith-regen-p-445.html. This controller has many programming features and can be wired to a CA from its external wires and a bigger shunt than the standard one sold by Grin. But for now I only check the temp with a $12.00 fish tank controller and have it shut off the Crown at 110C. Both of the Kelly's I have have some CAN BUS output that is often useful. I would readily buy another one of these, pay a little more $$ for a very good fault checking controller and very good Customer Service.

Kelly makes many models of controllers so you may be able to zero in on the voltage and amperage and other parameters you seek.

FWIW, 5303 in 26" wheel is a notorious controller blower. Ok in 20" wheel, but not in 26"

I've looked at the Kelly Controllers- not as expensive as I'd thought if I've chosen the right one! Any thoughts on my choices?
KEB72300X,24V-72V,150A,3.0KW, E-BIKE BRUSHLESS CONTROLLER (with KEB J2 CABLE, USB TO RS232 CONVERTER and OPTIONAL WATERPROOF(KEB-E) )

Could you help with a few questions about these controllers?
I may get this controller but the regen version but can this be switched off?
Is this the best choice?- Peak speed is at about 35A for 36V and @ 76V (which I only use occasionally) is at about 65A , I'd probably be happy enough at around 40A.

Any other advice? I've been looking through the info on the site, digesting it slowly...... I haven't looked here for any threads yet so that's next ......

There are a couple of Sabvaton's new in box on the for sale part of the forum. Then there are this 10Kw controller for 200 $, but that might be just more of what you already tried? https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75888

Sabvaton from Zombiess: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75649

Sabvaton from circuit: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75769

Then there are some powerful controllers from Vito, APT, kelly and sabvaton.

Then you have John in CR, I know he got some controllers - or at least on the way. I am not sure what controllers his newest load is as me request probably got berried but ask away and I am sure he will let you know if he got anything that will fill your need.
