Great deal on batteries

Ask them how old they are before buying.
These batteries may be a decade old, with a lot of wear on top. Hence the price.

Used batteries with 3 months warranty and no warranty on BMS. It doesn't look like a good deal to me at all.

It says 3 months then 1 month warranty. Which is it?

edit: If you put it in the cart, it says 1 month.

How did you test capacity? Have you taken it apart to harvest the cells?
yea took it apart and have a cell capacity tester.

even at 90% capacity at 30 cents a cell including shipping that's a lot cheaper than the new ones. I imagine they perform fine under a big load and just have a reduced capacity

It doesn't matter really. It is a false economy to buy cheap battery especially if you know almost for sure it can be faulty.

Not sure how is it in USA, but in Europe battery prices wend down this year. You can buy 15Ah 48V Samsung battery for little over $200.

Calendar effects are not like that.

The internal resistance goes up each year, and also, cycles increase that internal resistance too. Cells these old will not be anywhere near the performance of new.

Would probably work in a 'second life' application, ie 1C or much lower.

Are you talking individual cells or a ready to run pack with BMS? Link?

Stationary solar storage, would be great. At that price, get twice as much as you were previously planning, weight doesn't matter, and stacking enough in parallel would overcome their decreased performance. So, still a good deal. Just maybe not for EVs.
Any pics of it apart?
I'd like to see as well, if you can.

What charger do you use to charge this pack and also the individual cells?

What's the voltage range of this adjustable bench top power supply? Is the current adjustable also? How long have you had it and how do you like it? Can you share a link for it?

I just bought 2 of these A123 LFP 36V 20Ah 720Wh High Current Battery Modules with 96 Cells | Greentec Auto Goal is to build a 60V 20 Ah battery for my scooter/moped. It will be my first battery build.
My power supply is nothing special and forget its details. Current n voltage is adjustable
Here’s one:

When taking the battery apart, as I imagine you’ll do, i found leveraging the cells off the nickel by sticking something like a plastic screwdriver handle between works best. Don’t dent the cells or short them. (I inevitably short a couple)

Thanks for the tip. I'll be careful and try not to short anything. Is the pack assembled with cell spacers? Are the cells glued together?

Those are good prices if the batteries meet claimed specs. The website does not have option to sell to USA. I looked up the pswpower store on aliexpress and it seems to be not selling any lithium batteries! Strange!
