How to unlock /bypass speed limit on Gyrocopters Zeno 2.0 36v EScooter?

I want to find the easiest way to modify/bypass top speed limiter on my gyrocopters Zeno 2.0 E scooter. It is 36 V and I think 500w. I tried to locate the speed limiter wire to cut it, but I cannot locate and also had intended to try to do a shunt mod, but the controller is completely filled with epoxy coating the entire circuit board, and I cannot seem to identify any shunts on the circuit board, is there a way this can be done perhaps on the display or are one of the wires in the harness the speed limiter? If none of the above can be done, what will be my best option two replace the controller and or motor hub or what somebody please give me some answer or suggestions on what to do preferably in an affordable way I’ll attach photos of the controller and what I am working with

Why do you think the speed is limited? How fast does it go now?
 
The shunt is a SMD resistor.
If you heat up the epoxy to around 100C, it will get rubbery and you can dig it out with a small screwdriver. Not really fun.

I'd say just replace the controller (and all that other stuff) with one that can do what you want.
A cavet, my experience is with ebikes. YMMV.
A 500w rated motor can probably do burst of over 1000w.

What’s a cavet and YMMV?
Also any suggestions on a particular product or combination of products to use to replace?

OK, so you’re sure that’s the shunt and that would work? I didn’t want to attempt to start digging the epoxy out without being sure it could even be done so I should be able to dig epoxy out around that resistor and add some solder and that should do the trick?
 
I'm sure that's the shunt, but it's not the kind you can put solder on to change the value. You'd have to get another chip resistor and solder it in parallel to the existing one (on top of it). It's marked 2 milliohms, so to double the current, you'd use another 2 milliohm in parallel. Double might be too much and blow up the controller. It might work OK. If you put a 4 milliohm in parallel, it would give you 1.5x more, which would probably work without blowing up, but you never know how much extra capacity there is in the existing design.

Maybe worth a try. If it blows up, then go for a new controller.
 
Ok I have lots of old salvaged scrap electronics, is there anything in particular that I could find a compatible resistor inside of? Things like power supplies and scrap desktop/laptop computer parts
 
Good question... I'd look for something that runs over 10A for whatever purpose.
It works to solder wires to each end of the existing part to allow using a through hole part.

I've also used copper wire, but it's temperature sensitive and takes more room. 2.5 feet of 12Ga copper will have about 4 milliohms resistance. I placed the extra wire outside the box and tried to avoid coiling it to reduce inductance.

So do you know of any other way to modify the scooter to do more than 32km/h whatsoever?
 
32 km/h and I believe they are all limited but I know this one is for sure
If the speed is actually locked then a shunt mod won’t increase speed. It will provide more torque so you reach the top speed more quickly, but not increase top speed. If it’s not locked, the shunt mod could increase speed by providing more torque to overcome wind and rolling resistance.
 
If the speed is limited by the software it would generally require reprogramming to change. I wouldn’t have a clue how to do that on this particular model.
Easy test is to see how fast it goes with the wheel off the ground.
The workaround is to replace the controller with an unrestricted model but that is a lot of work.
