Okay so, I currently have the Ausom Leopard e scooter. I'm trying to figure out how I would go about adding either a 1000w motor, pr getting more power from the current single rear motor. What would the cheaper route be? It has a 48v battery that is around 55v fully charged. It also has a 20amp controller at 48v. Am I able to just upgrade the controller to push more power to the rear motor at the cost of less range or am I better off adding a second controller and motor? If adding a second controller and motor any suggestions on a good kit to do so?

I would start by upgrading the controller simply because it's going to be cheaper than a battery or motor. More current will certainly make the scooter accelerate quicker but be careful it doesn't cook the motor. You'd most likely lose the functionality of the display too.

I ordered a controller that comes eoth a new display. It's a 45a controller compared to the stock 25a controller. I feel like as long as I'm not holding the throttle for long periods it shouldn't cook the motor but I'm sure I'll find out😅 thank you🙏🤙

Start researching your next battery. Your stock battery won't live long at 45A.

Yeah, have a look at the BMS specifications. It’s rare for a vehicle to be supplied with a BMS/battery that can handle double what the supplied controller draws. You might trip it.
