KT LED 880e display low med high bypass fix

Hey guys

So back in 2013 i imported over 100 front 26" MXUS kits, most still in operation !.. The weakest link has been the LED displays.. basic LED red lights, on/off and Low/Med/High switch option.

The display can be eliminated by bridging the RED and BLUE wires.. throttle works and all is good.

However, once in a while, they are stuck in Low or Med and without the display i can't figure out how to switch speed settings. .. way back when, MXUS told me to bridge BLACK and YELLOW to get high and that's what i've done thus far because i only want max possible power at the throttle.

There are 5 wires in all in the display cable..

Red
Blue
Black
Yellow
Green

from googling the yellow and green are data RX and TX ..

Tried tapping the yellow black but no go there.. i know some things but not enough lol... anyone ?

Since most displays are manufacturer dependent, I’m assuming that the controller is also a KT unit. If so, I’ve only read that when running without a display, the controller defaults to a medium setting. Anything else requires the display. This is what mine did when I tested using a jumper. If some/most of your were defaulting to high, that’s something I’d like to note in my FAQ. Do you have a model number for the controllers?
