Add 0.01” from the mist, no flakes or frost happening. Not quite cold enough I guess.
Edit:
Just checked the mercury now it’s 33 degrees with the forecast low of 30 degrees by sunrise, but I’m not waiting up to see what happens.
(Briefly took the dog out and it was windy and he wanted to get back inside and so did I.)

Tuesday's rain was way less than expected. I got around 0.25", which is better than nothing, but not the 1-2" they were predicting.
Today it warmed up to 75F, like summer. That should dry things out so I can go riding again.

Sorry folks on the Right Coast

Very blustery today with steady NE wind gusting to 25 mph. This being one of the most protected valleys in the area. Throughout last night and today the wind has been blowing, gusting.
Typically if it subsides during the night temperatures would probably plummet and if the wind dies during daylight hours then it warms up causing a “sundowner”.

Edit: 8:30 am update
Still gusts from the north and east this morning and high temperatures near 80 degrees F forecast for today. Wind advisory for 25 mph today and tonight. Cooler tomorrow and Tuesday then another warm day Wednesday but rain chances have mostly evaporated once again.

I think the rain is over for this season. Typically there will be a few small showers in April or May, but not anything significant.
The hills are near maximum green-ness and will start to dry out with all the warm weather lately.

A recent ride below. You can see the SF bay in the background. The mud is pretty much dried out now, so riding conditions are ideal.

Nice ebike fechter, if I get one as good as that will I be a promoted to Moderator too :p
I have a BBSHD now.

La Nina is back on the east coast of Australia, must be the sixth summer in a row, highly unusual. It's brought more floods up north in QLD, nasty ones too, the city of Bundaberg got it's low lying suburbs washed out sea again.

"As of March 2026, severe flooding has hit Bundaberg, with hundreds of homes and businesses inundated, reminiscent of the 2010/2013 disasters. This event, driven by La Niña's typical heavy and sustained rainfall, has caused widespread road closures and cut off communities."
Never floods in El Nino years.

Super Colossal Frankenstein El Niño

Stupendous Humongous Ginormous.
The National Weather Service funding and staffing cuts have rendered it nearly useless.
Jaccuweather has always been a rinky-dink operation.
Network News, Weather Nation, etc can’t agree on anything but Ouiji Weather.
Well for now the verdict is finally in and upstart Apple Weather wins the prize. The Golden Tornado Award for the most accurate forecast on a daily basis.

They keep talking about this HUGE El Nino coming that's going to destroy the earth. Their track record for predicting these isn't that great. It seems like the news sources are constantly exaggerating things and making it sound like the end of the world. I guess they must make more money by doing that. It's really hard to find accurate, unbiased news these days.

It's actually raining a bit right now, but not enough to show in the rain gauge. Maybe a bit more tomorrow. Should be enough to keep the hills green for another week.
