Hi,

I am looking for information on the Mean Green Mower battery. I tried posting in the batteries section but got no responses.

I have a MeanGreen Commercial Zero Turn Electric Mower Home - MEAN GREEN MOWERS which is amazing. It mows well and has all sorts of bells and whistles. Less vibration, less noise, no gas fumes. I listen to an audio book while getting the job done.

I am trying to learn more about it's batteries. The battery pack has a MeanGreen sticker that says LEM 48444 and a warning to 'use proper mean green charger for Li-MgP1 batteries only'. I think Li is lithium and Mg is magnesium but P1 is not giving me any hits.

The rebadged Mean Green charger seems to be a Neos Series charger Neos - TCE Group SRL - Battery Chargers Model N4823-NCM. It's DC output is listed as 48v 23 A. The charger shuts off and the mower info screen displays a 90% charge at 53.2 volts. The mower says 25% charge at 46.8 volts.

I would like to learn more about the batteries. What temperature limits? What is a full charge voltage? What is the minimum voltage? Storage instructions? The MeanGreen manual is all about mowing and has very little information about the battery pack.

You’re right, their website doesn’t have much information on the battery.
Wild educated guess is the battery is a 13 series NCM lithium battery. Max voltage would likely be 54.6v (100% charge).
It is best to store at around 50% charge but the main thing is to avoid storing it above 90% charge. It’s also bad to run it until it cuts off. The pack will last longer if you try to keep it between 50-90%.
If possible, charge just before using and not afterwards.
The pack will likely have some kind of temperature monitoring that will prevent overheating. Normal ambient temperatures should be no problem, but avoid really hot or cold conditions for storage.
